Weren't we after Tristan not so long ago? When we had Anelka/Vaz Te/Diouf/Davies/Stelios/Smith. Same kinda thing. If Ricketts could get back to the way he was, he'd be an addition to any team. And he's only 27.

Sam talked about him in the paper today, saying how he only has himself to blame for letting talent like that go. I agree. But i think he's worth offering him the chance to train with us until January, with a view to a short term low risk deal. He's at the last chance saloon, he has to pull his fing...

That was great. 3rd best goal in the world?

He'd barely shave 30th. I'd give Carson a go.

I don't get the hate.

Yes he was abit of a tit when he left. But i don't wish harm on the fella. He was the best top class goalscorer we've had in ages. Had he not been badly advised he could still be banging them in for us now.

He scored a shed load of goals and made us a healthy profit.

It's sad really, he could've been a Wanderers great. I'd still have him back, in a kind of Matt Jansen deal. Where we'll let our backroom team at him and if it doesn't work out get rid.

I think HPFC is right. Clearly it is just an opinion. Which answers the question. Society decides whats right and whats wrong. Society changes its mind, the things that are viewed as evil would also change.

I'm all for keeping nukes in the club. 'We' can provide those outside the club with enriched Uranium and make sure it goes into properly staffed nuclear power stations, meanwhile never letting them know how the enrichment is done. If everyone had nukes it's just more increasingly dodgy fingers on t...

Doubt it. Wales had a sort of mini revival four years ago, beat Italy IIRC, and had a decent team too. Better thean the current Scotland side. It all came to nothing in the end.

However, they were excellent today.

Ok, if you want team players, why not call up people from League 2? They would bleed for the England shirt. I want to win, no matter what sport it is, and we won't do that with the likes of Kevin Davies and Nolan. Talentless as they are, they're two of the most important players in the current 3rd ...

At the end of the day, we should be putting away sides like that. I couldn't be arsed to watch the game today, because i knew what it would be, a dire game with no real result at the end. It's been the same for years. I wacthed the Scotland - France game (In the hopes of seeing our hero get a bagfu...

Re: Robin Hood on the BBC

Dear me. Five minutes in and I've already burst out laughing at the pathetic acting, writing and 'effects'. Me and the missus were having a discussion over our stir-fry about the BBC producing some real shite over the years, they would never have the balls to screen something new and exciting like ...

Last season, they were flying along with a tight-knit, largely home-grown squad which had a nice blend of youthful exuberance and talent (eg Nigel Reo-Coker, Dean Ashton, Anton Ferdinand) and experience (Teddy YardOfSpace). And for most of the summer they were recruiting nicely - I still think Carl...

This is typical of the scousers...giving Barton stick cos of his (scum) brother getting his arsehole ripped by Mr Big while doing time for her Maj, so Joey - right after he had given his match shirt to a disabled fan - replied with a cheeky mooney. Serial morners, and just goes to show how insensit...

As much as it made me chuckle. You do wonder why the Guardian intend to sell papers by slagging off their customers with their weekly diatribes against fans of a certain team. Seems a funny way to run a business if you ask me.

Simon Charlton did it for Oldham yesterday, from further out no less.

Granted the keeper let it bounce over his head, but what does that matter?
