Re: A Novel affair. Home to Mansfield Town Tues 3rd Dec. 1945
We’re going to equalise and the fact we won’t have lost will save Evatt from the sack.

Re: The ianevattable sacking
Is it 23pts from the last 11 games that we’ve taken? I think until that starts to dip, he’s safe. We can all look at the manner of individual performances and the same patterns repeating, but I think the board will try and be more objective. I’m not saying I agree, but I think it’ll take more than o...

Yeah and it’s also not like we’ve spent a lot, but others have spent more.boltonboris wrote: ↑Tue Nov 26, 2024 10:08 pmYep. And that’s nothing to do with a stronger division. It’s our own performances that are way, way, way below par.

From what little I’ve seen of Lolos so far, he looks like he’s got potential to be our worst ever player. What he was thinking with that tough guy tackle that should have been corner, I’ll never know. He looks slow, heavy, clumsy and indisciplined. Like a league two Liam Trotter Yeah I agree. I kee...

Absolutely crap since the goal. It’s like we thought we’d won it and could just knock it around at the back for half an hour conserving energy and then go home.

Re: Loan Watch 24/25
I read IE is making noises re the Jan window. Decisions to be made on Nlundulu and Morley I guess. This got me thinking about Paris Maghoma who doesn't seem to be doing anything at Brentford, if we could get near the top of the division by the end of the window would his loan be a possibility? It s...

Does anyone else think it’s odd we’ve not heard any more about the illness pre Stockport? Evatt threw out the line immediately post match but not a whisper since. If players were needing a IVs before the game, then that’s a genuine reason for us being terrible and miles off it. If the squad are all ...

Re: The ianevattable sacking
Can’t believe he’s still here. What hold does he have over the Board and/or Sharon? Why can’t they act? Who is in charge? I’m not that surprised really. She backed him earlier in the season, and since then we’ve won 7/8 or whatever, so objectively we’ve improved. If the extent of illness last week ...

Re: Taking Stock (port) ....A trip away to the neighbours. Sat Nov 9th, 3-0'clock.
Yesterday hurts more as we’d actually been on a decent run since the last implosion. ‘Evatt out’ had calmed down a bit, we were making progress up the league, and a win would have left us comfortably top 6, just outside the autos going into the international break. We’d have achieved that despite pl...

Tonight’s the first time I’ve seen him and thought he’s actually done a decent job. Came on when we were under a bit of pressure, but showed for the ball, and generally held on to it quite well. Nothing outstanding, but I think he helped settle things down a bit.

Re: Prawn Sandwiches aren't Posh any more. At Home to Peterborough Sat, Oct 26th 3-o'clcock.
Agreed. It’s really frustrating. A lot of the talk at the start of the season was how it would be really hard to go up automatically this year with all the good sides in the division. In reality, all we’ve needed to do so far is keep up with bloody Mansfield. If we’d have started this season even se...

Re: Prawn Sandwiches aren't Posh any more. At Home to Peterborough Sat, Oct 26th 3-o'clcock.
One of the more frustrating things is that while Birmingham are miles ahead, the race for second still seems quite open. There isn’t a clear standout you’d back to still be there come May. We’re not even that far out of it - if we win our game in hand, we’ll be above Huddersfield and Barnsley, who a...

823-7. And that was probably us looking to set something to bowl at. Reckon we've been quite generous, I'd have been tempted to keep them in the field for the remainder... I think it was the right time to declare. We’ve got 4 and a bit sessions to go at them and a lead of 270. Even though it’s flat...

Last night would have been acceptable had we been flying in the league. No one would have given a monkey’s about it. As it is, we’re looking at last night hoping to see signs of progress which just aren’t there. I was just Evatt in post Wembley, but I now want him gone. Promotion is the aim this sea...

Re: A boot up The Cobblers? Northampton away, Tues Oct first 19-45.
Don’t care about giving anyone a ‘proper game’ we need to beat them. You can't have an away win against this Birmingham side as the minimum acceptable outcome. We all want to beat them, but a point would be a really good result. If we win the next 3 which are all winnable, it gives us a bit of slid...

Re: Kicking the bucket .E.F.L Cup 3rd round. Away to Arsenal Wed, 25th Sep. 7-45.
Still. This is a free hit for Evatt. I've got little confidence at our ability against sides that are better than us. Were not upsetting the odds any time soon. Agreed and it’s down to his character and the character of the teams he builds. You won’t upset many top sides trying to be a nice technic...
