Re: Whither the burke in the coracle? Shrewsbury (A), FLT, Tue 6 Oct @ 5.30pm(!)

Riley is either physically more there or he has more of a presence about him. Connell has that presence when he broke through - be good if Riley can do the same, particularly as there is an opportunity now with the White injury.

Recommend everyone watches Adam Seniors interview. If ever there was a lad made up at simply playing for his hometown club that’s it. Really hope he does well and makes it here.

I thought Vela was still on strike anyway, probably with Dave Wheater

Was Greenidge that bad? Clean sheet with him on second half?

Sooner we get Miller back to fitness the better. Glad he wasn’t risked here to be honest.

Re: Whither the burke in the coracle? Shrewsbury (A), FLT, Tue 6 Oct @ 5.30pm(!)

My concern is Gordon is an athlete who can kick a football, and doesn’t have a football brain.

That Latin American Twitter account is posting clips. Good grief.
I'd post if knew how just share the horror, but fortunately for my fellow forumites I don't 😁
Ta
First goal - Taft main culprit but Delaney did not cover himself in glory either.

Re: Whither the burke in the coracle? Shrewsbury (A), FLT, Tue 6 Oct @ 5.30pm(!)

Still a target man light this squad for me.

Though a proper Defensive midfield Hard man would be a good addition as well - particularly if White is going to be out for a while thanks to fat vela.

Gnouha looked more like a number 10 to me when he came on against Newport. Not a very good one!

I know, I agree. Just thought he looked a way off being physically ready for league football.

Thoughts on Lockett? I thought he looked way off a league player at Colchester. Preferred King’s Arms.

Jesus - that’s a sitter above. What’s wrong with Miller - when’s he back?

Re: Whither the burke in the coracle? Shrewsbury (A), FLT, Tue 6 Oct @ 5.30pm(!)

Totally forgot. So we have an overweight Vela with a chip on his shoulder, a very inexperienced line up and two of the senior lads have left us down with suicide balls? And whites missed a pen and got injured? Miss owt else?

He could revert to a back 4 and play Brockbank at right back.

Re: Whither the burke in the coracle? Shrewsbury (A), FLT, Tue 6 Oct @ 5.30pm(!)

He does talk. A lot! He’s still not at the Keith Hill ‘they’ve all got it in-for-me’ stage. 530, what a stupid time to kick off. Presumably to reduce costs? Less time for floodlights? Josh Velas current club this I think.Apart from that and Sam Ricketts I know nowt. Sounds like he’s mixing the team ...

Santos was miles better yesterday. Delaney helped defensively and Brockbank provided good balance - Brockys first win for us...so made up for him with that. Hope Senior gets the chance in future as well - two proper Bolton lads there.

Defence was miles better...from an admittedly low bar. Tutte and Sarcevic made a difference as well. Mascall better than Gordon at the moment. But yeah this is a big monkey off their back - let’s hope it’s the start of a big unbeaten run. Some post match comments as well to dissect when i come down!
