Re: The Politics Thread

Starmer has Unison's backing now apparently. This might not be the RLB coronation we fear...one can hope. Bookies have had him way in the lead for quite some time. The momentum lot are obviously going to fight hard to keep hold of the party but a lot of the Corbyn support was more "non-aligned" to ...

I'd never heard of the fella before last night but I thought the lad Guendouzi looked the part.
He's a good player but he's a hateful, hateful, odious cheating little c*nt.

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever

Hmm. Playing ability doesn't often seem to correlate to punditry skills. Getting "big names" seems to be the approach but I haven't a clue why. For every Neville or Carragher there are 10 Suttons or Hoddles (old Gleneth regularly gets the names of the fecking England players wrong, never mind the op...

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever

Speaking of young centre backs with a Bolton connection, young Nathan Phillips did well after a shaky start for Liverpool the other night.

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Couple of things. If they really were winging it and scratching around for players I'd expect them to keep the loanees rather than return them; to me, it seems a sensible and promising development to clear vital squad spaces, although obviously it heavily depends on who comes in to fill them. Which...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

No matter who we sign, if 23-year-old Liam Edwards isn't to be entrusted with one of the two vacant centre-back positions in our starting line-up I'd like to know why. The Liam Edwards who recently signed a 3 year deal and along with Brockers is the only senior feck contracted beyond the summer. 10...

Re: Contract expiry

Yeah Wright was v good on Sunday, but dreadful yesterday.

This window absolutely has to have an eye on next year. 18 month contracts or 6 but players we expect we could keep.

Re: Brew Years Day - Burton Albion (H) - 01-01-2020

The entertainment for the 1st 15 mins was excellent, we played well & could have been 3 up had Verlinden's shot that hit the post gone in. But after that until I left it was shocking, possibly the worst Bolton performance in memory, the team just surrendered - they certainly did not play for Keith ...

Re: Kiss me Kate, Part One. Bolton v Shrewsbury. Unibol 3-0 Sunday 29th.

My first live game of the Hill/Flitcroft era. First, and predominant thought is that Jason Lowe can f*ck right off, and continue to f*ck off until he is completely f*cked off. Moronic, stupid c*nt. He was aabsolutely woeful up to then anyway and the main plus is that the useless prick now misses 3 g...

Should have batted first, but if you want to see where we lost, spot the odd one out from these numbers:

284
181
272
268

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet

Well that's a lot better. Still a lot of ducks need to line up but at least there's a chance. The inevitable collapse is obviously on though. Step 1 - win the toss. Step 2 - inexplicably bowl Step 3 - take a few early wickets, get the hopes up Step 4 -struggle with the tail and let them get to a rou...

We're only going to get a journeyman anyway. Use it elsewhere and get world champion Andy Lonergan on loan if it goes tits up.

Re: Parkinson's disease. Sunderland (A) 26.12.19 3pm KO

Entirety of 2019 in the (/a) relegation zone, isn't it? Horrible anus indeed. Not quite. As 2019 we were above the dots on goal difference. Later on New Year's Day we sorted that out good and proper with that really quite stupendous 6-0 shitting-on at Hull. 181231.png 190101.png  cheers. I thi...

Best case for us still has us bottom at 5pm I would think. Here's to 3 points. Got a lot of time for Parky but hope we pile on the pressure.

Re: The Politics Thread

I know that's the perception of her but I think it's unfair and changeable. I think it's largely come about because she didn't see eye to eye with the leadership and so the only time she was in the public eye really was when she was all guns blazing attaching the govt. I think she's capable of more ...

Re: The Politics Thread

I like Philips. Not sure she's (yet) capable of persuading people beyond the heartlands. That list I posted wouldn't be far off my own list of preferences.
