Re: Game Against The Scouse
Well, the BBC reckon we're screwed for this match, and dead and buried for the season. Or rather, Johnathan Pearce does. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/16559548.stm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I think we should make this our theme for the rest of the season. http://www.y...

You reckon Newcastle are gonna pip Spurs? When they've got their top scorer and their new signing jetting off to Africa? No chance, Sonny Jim...

Re: Wanderers vs Macclesfield: The Threequel
Maybe I'm just easily pleased, but I still subscribe to the theory that if we win, I'm happy. I couldn't care less how we played, as long as we get the result in the bag. Which we did. Yes, we were poor in the second half, but how many times this season have we seen the big boys get the recliners ou...

Re: Wanderers vs Macclesfield: The Threequel
People are trying to justify booing at full-time in a game we won? Am I old fashioned in that I think the result is the most important thing, and that people should NEVER boo at a match? Jesus wept...
Who the f*ck cares that we kicked it back into neutral after the game was won??

Re: Wanderers vs Macclesfield: The Threequel
I was there. I'm typing this with my nose, having lost 9 out of 10 fingers to frostbite. Decent first half, poor second, but to be expected when you're 2-0 up against lower league opposition, you've got the job done, and you don't wanna get injured. Macc never really threatened at all. Defence looks...

Re: Who should be our captain?
Roberto Carlos? Best you can come up with TD :D? Famous for his massive thighs, one free-kick, and not really being able to defend. Did like bombing forward though, which was fun. Anyway, anyone calling Muamba shit doesn't know their arse from their elbow. Not great technically might be being kind,...

A draw like that, you've got to be hoping for a place in the fifth round draw. But then, Swansea will be thinking exactly the same thing...

Being "ashamed and remorseful" having any effect on sentencing criminals. Bloke locally, (apparently a known and persistent offender, 45 years old) robbed two women then threatened to knife them when they followed him. His lawyer claimed he was "ashamed and remorseful" as if that's some sort of exc...

Re: CH's all singing all dancing transfer gossip thread on t
I very much doubt that. KD still takes the captains armband whenever he plays, even if he's coming on as sub. I'd hate to see him play for someone else at this point - far preferable to see him play out the season with us then retire into a coaching role on our staff. I doubt it too... but what if ...

Re: Onwards and Upwards Everton vs Bolton (Match thread)
Biggest noticable difference in the last couple of games, for me, has been attitude, effort and commitment. It's almost as if our testosterone levels have risen. Chasing players down and closing spaces has made a marked difference and there's a real energy about the side..Tactics, team selection an...

Howard Goal I was in two minds, one obviously was gutted Everton Scored. But I was happy to see a goalkeeper score from his position.

Re: Onwards and Upwards Everton vs Bolton (Match thread)
But for Ngog's movement they would have shut Petrov down yeah sure his first touch was a little heavey at times but he got better all game and his goal looked like something by a mr Anelka ! hE WAS A KEY PLAYER FOR US TONIGHT. I think comparisons with Anelka might be just a little premature, don't ...
