We were mentioned on BBC breakfast news this morning, as a footnote in the sports section presented by Sally Nugent. Around 6.20/ 6.25

Re: The cheer us up memory lane thread

Battering Spurs 1-0 at WHL. Think we hit the woodwork 15 times that day Reading Play off final at Wembley Drawing with Bayern Munich in the UEFA cup. Magic, Magic Days. As an aside I was talking to my daughter about Nathan Blake the other day. He was on telly talking about an FA cup match. Wasn't r...

Re: Are we still here? Are you sure!

Been a while since I looked but isn't £15m of the debt to ED's family contingent on us being promoted to the Premier League? In which case: a) We don't need to worry about it and b) it would be paid out of the Sky TV money so we don't need to worry about it. How dare you point that out! Nice flippa...

Re: Are we still here? Are you sure!

^ I could be being a bit numb here but is a £20m debt that big a deal to anyone purchasing the club? It's relatively small compared to other clubs and aren't we actually running at a very small profit now, since the outgoings reduced? Could a new owner just take over and chip away at the debt or do...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

Feckin housing inflation, or actually, the lack of it up here. My next door neighbour has just put her house up for sale, for about 20 grand more than I paid for mine 7 years ago. Given all the hype in the papers, i was planning to retire on the dosh I'd made, but clearly, there's been precious lit...

Re: The athletics/running thread

I have run GNR twice. First time I was in the pen behind the elite runners, got a great start and a pb. Second time I was six pens back, took half an hour to cross the start line....shite run. Both times I put my predicted finish times which is supposed to give you your position. It is a fantastic r...

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

I've just had a bit of a to-do with a colleague of mine, who's an argumentative tw*t at the best of times, who's just accused me of having another 'Gungah Din' moment. He can 4uck off. Let me explain. Last week I was working abroad. Before I went we had a mail to say that the new Head of IT would b...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Well, this one's set to run (pun intended :) ) This morning the organisers of the Bolton Half Marathon have called it off saying that the council stuck them with a bill to the tune of £27K. Council have responded saying that they only asked for just over £1K How queer! 1k to close the roads. 26k to...

For the record LLS and I did resolve (most of) the issues we had.

I'm not saying we'll ever be bosom buddies, but I might, just might, piss on him if he were on fire.

Right, that's BP and I in for the Bury 10K on 17th Sept. Any more for any more? Hopefully BP might cross the line on his feet this time :) Doing Bolton Half Marathon the week before. Anyone else? Was considering about it, but I will have moved down south by then and it'll be a bit of a trek. Thinki...
