Was considering about it, but I will have moved down south by then and it'll be a bit of a trek. Thinki...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Did a ParkRun in Hertford yesterday, Panshanger Park. 23.03 is nowhere near my PB but on a strange course and after my Track Mile on Thursday (where I nearly coughed up a lung) I'm happy enough. Started too far back and there was a bit of a bottleneck in the first 500 metres so when I saw a gap (whe...

Iles: "Winding-up petition against Sports Shield BWFC adjourned, as expected. Some interesting info also mentioned. Story coming up soon."
Deal agreed between SSBWFC and BM leaves us liable for points deduction from the league it seems.
Do you have a link for that?

Glorious parkrun morning at Pontefract racecourse today. Great to meet Officer Dibble and get the wanderers shirts out. Stopped short of full kit wanker attire though.
You can probably carry it off, without the full kit. :D
Ooooof!

Re: Where are you going tonight?

I was too excited in the run up and forgot to post - went to watch Kraftwerk at the Bridgewater Hall on Monday night. Absolutely staggering show! 2 hours 20 minutes of solid entertainment. I'll take your word for it. Never got Kraftwerk Next weekend I'm off to see Green Day at Hyde Park. Bru...

Re: Ever been on Telly?

I'm interested enough Monty. Can we have more? About my 15 minutes of fame? All but LK can ignore this. In 1988 I serendipitously discovered the first handwritten drafts of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These proved that the first draft was not written by Frenchman René Cassin, who had...

Re: Ever been on Telly?

As the literary executor of a quite an important man I have been on radio and television many times, and been interviewed in at least five documentary movies. It seemed a big deal at first but after recurrences over a quarter century just routine. Familiarity may not breed contempt but certainly re...

Re: Ever been on Telly?

Yes, two months of intensive attention for a two hour airing on the box. Fun for a one off and at least it got me on the hallowed turf of the Macron. :oyea: We had to sign a non-disclosure document or much more could have been said, and not all complimentary. Good luck GTE, but I can live without i...

You've been on telly before Gary. Korean or Chinese telly if I recall, outside Craven Cottage :) Yes. Been working hard to regain some levels of fitness post bad back, manful and whatnot. Did Parkrun on Saturday, 5K around mine on Sunday, 5K on hotel gym treadmill on Monday, night off on Tuesday and 5K round mine last night. Might sneak another one in tonight. We'll see. A rest between runs is impo...
