Re: Better "Late on" than never. A visit from the Orient. Sat 22 Feb 3-0'clock.

I was neither happy, nor sad to see Williams leave. I could see his positives, but he more average days than good and had availability issues. He probably embodied that 'meh' feeling around a lot of the recruitment and football the last couple of seasons. Great move for him though. Same division, si...

Re: Far from the Madding Crowd. Away at Shrewsbury, Sat 15th Feb,3-0'clock

Schumacher told McAtee, Collins and Randall they’d been poor at half time and that two would be taken off during the second half. The old mind games seem to have worked on McAtee. I like stuff like this. Very Bruce Rioch that. Go earn your shirt. Presumably Randall just shrugged his shoulders and l...

Re: Far from the Madding Crowd. Away at Shrewsbury, Sat 15th Feb,3-0'clock

It was a very good second half. We played with more intensity, more attacking intent and controlled the midfield, which was woefully short of the required standard in the first half How refreshing to have a manager than can and will adapt to the pattern of a game, or the oppositions shape and make b...

Hope I'm wrong but I can only see a defeat this weekend. 0-1 or 1-2
We are better than Shrewsbury.
So are Wrexham, Reading, Rotherham and Birmingham

Would other clubs give him the run of the place and turn a blind eye to some of the other shenanigans like we did though?
I think footballs awash with players and managers doing proper cuntish things and getting away with so long as they're producing

Re: Division Three, 2024/25

I think Evatt would suit the Blackburn job. Whether their fans would be pleased or not, I don't know but they've got a good academy and training ground to work with alongside a decent enough squad for that level. Wouldn't be too much of a culture change from Eustace He's a good manager, just starte...

Re: Contract expiry

Hard to disagree with that. He has limitations, but his biggest asset is his availability and that should not be downplayed - Think he's had an upturn in form since Schumacher arrived, too

The term "jack of all trades, a master of none" is perfect for a lot of our players - We seemed hell bent on one stage on buying utility players rather than specialists and we're paying for it now, with both results and finances

Re: The cup that cheers.. E.F.L Away to Wrexham Tues Feb 11th 7-30.

Glad that we are out, but that game just shows yet again that we needed a decent proper No9 in the transfer window - we have no actual out and out strikers in the squad. Depends how you mean, Bertie, IMO. I think both Adeboyejo and Collins have proven they can play as part of a front two. But the e...

A neutral watching that would most likely have just casually taken the tele of the wall and launched it out of the window. A shocker

Re: The cup that cheers.. E.F.L Away to Wrexham Tues Feb 11th 7-30.

That pass by Toal has summed the whole evening up. Crap. A really leggy, wasteful performance. All on the players. Too many of them are simply not good enough at football to consistently deliver results. This is probably the worst Wrexham have played at home all season and we've barely hurt them des...

I think Thomason's Dad needs to take him to the park to practice controlling and passing the ball back in a straight line. feck me, he's played like his feet are on back to front for the last couple of months

We do look tired. I'm not sure if this pitch has been deliberately dried out, but directional changes, sprints, all look lethargic
