Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?

Girlfriend must be trying to kill me off, she gave me some butternut squash soup to take to work, but its as brown as mud and spicier than anything Ive ever had! Its been a Macmillan coffee morning at work today as well so the soup combined with a ton of cakes is going to make for interesting times...

Re: What are you eating and drinking tonight?

A Michael fecking Buble tribute night at the Albert Halls for us this year, I kid ye not!. They're all terrifed of going anywhere outside of Bolton town centre for fear of enjoying themselves. I shall be mostly propping up the bar in the other room once I have eaten the shite food on offer. Hope it...

Re: Italian Restaurant in Bolton

Don't do it! It's fecking shite. The last time I was there they poured something indescribable into a Peroni bottle and tried passing it off as the real stuff. I took it back to the bar and demanded they open another one in front of me. Totally different! I ordered the same starter as someone else ...

In that case are you thinking of Ciao Napoli, as you walk through from Nelson Square towards the town centre?

It used to be Tiggis. It's now called Prosecco. Only been once, the food was ok, but the service was abysmal.

Re: Car Insurance bail hooks

Been with Direct Line for 3-4 years. Last year they put the premium up by £120. I rang them to cancel and they managed to match the previous years price. This year they put it up by £130. I rang to say that I had a better price from Tesco, although the cover wasn't quite as good. The bloke I spoke t...

Re: On this day, eleven years ago

What a megaprick :spank: In May 2000 during a highly controversial Division One Play-off semi-final between Bolton Wanderers and Ipswich Town at Portman Road, Barry Knight handed out 12 yellow cards and two red cards to Mike Whitlow and Robbie Elliott of Bolton with not a single card to Ipswich and...

Damn, if anybody thought they had it bad needs to read Gary the Enfields article. Tear jerker indeed! I read the article after reading your comment Keveh. I was wondering where the 'tear jerker' bit was and then I read the end. Bloody hell, I actually felt my eyes water on reading that. Good job th...

Re: Formula 1 2011?

I thought Webber did a magnificent job moving from ninth - I think - when I tuned in to finish a pretty decent third. I don't know why he was so far back but he had a cracking drive to correct his position. He only qualified in 18th position. To finish 3rd from 18th on the grid was amazing. A brill...

Re: Facts that you have learnt through your own stupidity

Throughout time man has discovered, and evolved upon the shoulders of stupid people. What fruits and seeds are poisonous, whether you can wrestle a shark, and that sticking your penis in a hoover doesn't really simulate a good romp. Essentially this is a thread dedicated to forummers own contributi...

Hello Again

Fairly infrequent poster previously. Had to re-register when my old PC went tits up. One or two may remember me as Tricky Trevor. Ok then, maybe not. A brief reprise - First game - Ipswich at home April 1979 - First Wanderers goal was 'that goal' scored by Frankie Worthy. Until 2001 it was vi...

Thanks William. I presume that the book is the one titled 'The Moro Coobook', as there are more than one with Moro in the title. On the restaurant front we always tend to go to the Mexican place, Wahaca when in London, which is owned by the woman who won Masterchef a few years ago, Thomasina Meiers....
