Re: Josh Magennis

My memory ain't so good but I'm inclined to think this is the most depressing thread I've seen on this board. I think the opposite - this thread is the start of everyone coming together for the new season - the siege mentality begins - we know what we are up against and standing shoulder to shoulde...

Re: Administration and recovery

Seems as though the EFL are happy for Bury to put a youth team out as a 1st team - so assume that the same goes for us.
I also think (and very much hope) that todays game will go ahead.... its in the hands of our players now

Re: Administration and recovery

I feel sorry for the Bury fans - but maybe with an owner the calibre of Ste Dale, the EFL are waiting to check out the credibility of the £1.65m credit note.... maybe he got his mum/aunty to write it

Magennis should never play for the club again - let him rot in the reserves until his contract runs out, utter 'up his own arse' shithouse
If only Parky had done this last season  things might have worked out for the better :D

Re: Administration and recovery

With a deal so close to the line - are the players really helping things by refusing to play ?
Surely they have hung around because they see themselves having a future at Bolton Wanderers -- why kick a dog when its down ?

Re: Administration and recovery

Pretty good insight from Andy Taylor in this article, hadn't seen it previously posted, apols if it had been. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/31/family-lives-ruined-one-young-player-evicted-flat-human-cost/ A piece all about the players and their woes Hardly mentions the other staff wh...

Hearing on the finest grapiest grape vine that the deal is across the line. A massive amount of salt is to be taken with this information.

Re: Doom... or just Gloom?

I think the take over is more advanced than reported. The friendly game that took place yesterday was the first sign that things are beginning to happen. Those players must have been made promises regarding pay to actually turn out and play. Maybe they have been paid? I am more optimistic than at a...

Re: Doom... or just Gloom?

just like in every other element of this whole fiasco -- there's an element of brinkmanship at each significant step... I hope that this is the case again now.... and that before the season starts someone blinks first and the deal is pushed through
otherwise its curtains

Re: How Many Points Will We Be Deducted?

i don't care how many points they deduct -- the only thing that counts right now is that we continue to exist even though things are looking bleak right now I am still confident (god knows why) that a deal will be cut at the last minute which lets us survive On another note ..... Ken who bought us f...

If you had bid for a property at auction - 10% down within an hour of the hammer coming down - and the balance within 28 days

Well they're not getting the hotel until well into the season if at all. So now we'll see what they're made of. I'm really not in the slightest bit optimistic.
when the going gets tough the tough get going... if FV have the financial balls of steel... now's the time for them to show em
