I voted for Anthony Georgiou. All I know about him is that he's here on loan from Spurs, but he was the only one with no votes and it looked a bit mean ae:)

Re: Should they stay or should they go? Summer 2020 edition

DMurphy Darcy Crawford Mellis Matthews Lowe Bunney. Mellis and Bunney just out of curiosity, Matthews I think isn't great but still relatively inexperienced. Get someone else in to challenge him and let Pollitt work on him. Can't be easy with that team in front of you. Reminds me of uni 5 a side gam...

Tower Ballroom (obviously) and the donkeys are all that Blackpool has to offer these days. They'll still probably tonk us.
In dreadful form, managerless and struggling. Must be rubbing their hands in glee!

Re: The Keith Hill out thread

I was one who welcomed the appointment of Hill & Flitcroft but I did expect better than this. No doubt the "we have to be lucky we have a club to support" brigade will keep telling us his hands are tied, he's no money and he can't buy anyone. For anyone who listened to his pre/post match ramblings ...

I can't imagine that those conversations aren't happening, given they're consulting Kenyon and have appointed Phoenix.
They've been very quiet, let's hope that's because they're busy sorting shit out. I really think he'll be sacked before the season ends, possibly within a month.

Re: The Keith Hill out thread

I think the Accrington game is very important for Hill. Lose that badly, and I can't see any justification for keeping him.
Like DSB suggests, there are no signs of planning for next season, a general air of amateurism, contradictory nonsense among the usual verbal diarrhoea.

I don't really know how good Phillips and Lee are at their jobs but I do know I wouldn't trust Hill to be the judge of it.

Managers are always a bit of a lottery, but we are a big draw even now and there would be plenty of takers I'm sure.
I don't like Hill, but would be more patient if I thought FV had chosen him after an exhaustive and considered process.
I don't think he'll start next season.

Re: Day after St Valentines day massacre? Bolton v Wycombe Home, Sat 15th Feb. 3-o'clock.

I don't think.the comparisons with Phil Neal really work. His was an ambitious appointment, presumably well planned and thoroughly discussed. Hill was a panic buy. FV had been severely delayed and needed someone in quick who could cobble a squad together and had some experience. Had they had the sum...

We've only been given 700 standing and 74(!) seats.
Hope that's just an initial allocation.

Wimbledon tickets on sale tomorrow. Will be taking the opportunity to watch us give another relegation candidate a leg up. And really piss Tranmere off.

Might as well :D
Stick him in midfield. He'd show more aggression than Lurphy.
Well done Hoboh on finding one of the few people I find more irritating to listen to than Hill.

Re: Not enough said Moore....

Based on Hill's utterances I also don't think he is the man to take us back up next season in League 2, but he has been dealt a bad hand so its only fair that we give him an opportunity prove us wrong. I don't agree. I think all the signs on and off the pitch are that he's completely the wrong man ...

Re: Where are you going tonight?

Need to do more gigs while I'm here in London. Watched Rival Sons at Brixton, that was excellent. Want to check out some of the Camden venues.
Also watched Tensheds in a pub in Surbiton. He's on tour with Beans on Toast right now. Brilliant blues pianist and singer.

Re: Not enough said Moore....

I am increasingly struggling to see how Hill fits into the direction FV want to take the club. A modern, data driven approach with a football director or equivalent, would usually involve an enterprising coach open to the latest methods and tactcics, and one that would encourage and improve younger...

I first saw him on the Revival tour as well, probably same year. It was Ragan, Fallon and Andriano when I went. (In Manchester). Great venue, those pews though! Northcote was excellent too.

Re: Where are you going tonight?

The Union Chapel Islington, a working church, community centre and gig venue. Tonight it's Dave Hause, US singer and guitarist. Springsteen influenced rock.
Looks like a really nice place to watch a gig, but like Albert Hall in Manchester.
Few beers, forget about football!
