Re: Deduction prediction

I'm all for giving the EFL as much grief as possible but not by cutting our own nose off. I think they're in a weak position and if we go about a potential appeal cleverly we could really back then into a corner. They've got a commons committee on their case and an incoming CEO who could benefit fro...

Re: Deduction prediction

I think so yes. Maybe it's the medieval nature of my response that tipped them over the edge?

Re: Deduction prediction

Anyway I've been suspended from Twitter now so will be hanging round these threads like more of a bad spell than ever. Apparently I was inciting abuse when I tweeted in response to some Doncaster loon's call for an 18 point penalty.... 'yes and the BWFC board should be tarred and feathered in front ...

Re: League One 2019/20

Prepare your “fork the EFL” songs: Marc Iles says disciplinary panel will meet today to decide our game-swerving punishment, which will be announced “by” tomorrow. But IMO it might leak before then... https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/18034793.bolton-wanderers-wait-imminent-efl-punishment-decis...

If they give us a 6 point deduction or more then we should just lose every game for the rest of the season
Wow
Then mention in the summer that we've made our pint now please buy a season ticket! Not sure about that one Bertie!

Re: Deduction prediction

I've said 6 btw but I think we should appeal it.
Best case I reckon is 3 and we stay up by one and Doncaster miss the playoffs on goal difference after a 4 nil trouncing at ours.

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

Given Verlinden is clearly going back for the 3rd round to stoke I hope we have the scouts (??) out for a creative midfielder type... Could be just a general decision to give the manager time to make his mind up. He might not want him. More likely he will though, I agree. Especially as it sounds li...

Re: Where are you going tonight?

Last night actually but Rival Sons at Brixton academy. Great live band and with excellent support from The Record Company. Support looked like a bunch of normal guys you'd find in the corner of the pub. Played upbeat bluesy Rock n roll. Rival Sons look like a hipster rock band, with all the swagger...

Am I missing something here? Where is LLS these days?
A combination of not being very well (seriously ill indeed) and having had enough of furum aggro. He'll be missed, particularly by me. Best of luck mate.
Well if he's still reading I wish him well.

Seems like we had Ben Marshall on trial and let him go... https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/fresh-update-reveals-player-has-left-bolton/ Original source is our friend Alan Nixon... Surprised that a.) He was available as a free agent, and b.) He was deemed not worthy of being taken on. I remember hi...

Cheeky fish-bothering bastards have launched a complaint about our stewards after their nerr-do-wells kicked off with them in the away end. 😐 I've never had an issue with them home or away despite being one of our 'top boys' with fireworks galore up my trousers. Ok maybe not. You see with the thick...

Re: Can we give the junior citizens the blues? Man City u23s EFL Trophy (H) 29.10.19 KO 7pm

Of course it was a terrible downgrade. That's not Ream's fault. His fee was probably reasonable, based on his career to date and the games he played for us. The manner in which lost Cahill was scandalous mismanagement. Again not Ream's fault. Throughout a tempestuous period for the club he was a dec...

At the end of the season, Shaw was voted Manchester United Players' Player of the Year and Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year. Christ. I knew they were poor last year but that's ridiculous! I’m just gonna say Tim Ream and leave it there... A classy, versatile and intelligent footballer who could pla...
