Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

here's the nub of my argument, I can't think of a successful club that has both anodyne management and ownership. So the question is, are we being led by characters, people who can put a stamp on the club and lead us into their vision, or not? Refreshingly interesting question Mr Lost Leopard Spot....

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

*pointless image* Yes, I can clearly see the similarities between Manchester United in 1989 and Bolton Wanderers in 2013. I can. A manager making far reaching changes behind the scenes at a club, not getting immediate results and being berated for it by impatient short-sighted fans. Then said chang...

Sounds like the Muamba not Okocha. Which will do for me.

Re: SKD on Goals on Sunday.

He doesn't pick himself does he? What do folk expect? "Nah, I'm sorry gaffer, I'm not playing, I'm shit now. The team would be much better off with David N'Gog starting". Exactly. Blame the lazy soft-arses who are consistently failing to knock him out of the team. He's in decline but still does a j...

Re: Watford away

We are mentally weak as a squad, you can have whatever ability you want but there is a losing mentality running through the players and as Simon Charlton remarked few seemed to take real responsibility. Barnsley's new manager inherited players with a 'losing mentality'. They've won three and drawn ...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

'Wanderers made one change from the FA Cup fourth round defeat to Everton, with Adam Bogdan returned to the starting line-up.' This irritates me about freedman though. Lonergan was good last week, give him a chance. Bogdan makes a few good saves but doesn't inspire confidence in me or his defence by...

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

I think effort is there, but mental strength is not. Even at Peterborough they never gave up. Defenders panic and make mistakes or don't read the game and get in positions, that's the problem. The solution is to replace those defenders.

Re: Dougie Freedman - New Manager

So far he's failed to arrest the slide in results that had been going on for 18 months before his arrival. He hasn't made us worse and he's been putting things in place that will give us a platform ti improve. I'm disappointed that he hasn't turned things round quicker, and his lack of urgency and o...

Re: Watford away

There's nothing wrong with giving Ream credit for playing well and then criticising when he gives a soft goal away when the team is playing well. It's obvious we need to get shut in the summer. Anyway we've not lost yet. And even if we turn it round and win, the playoffs were never in the equation....

Yes, eagles has been poor for ages, bring the new guy in and drop him for a few games. Impact sub role might bring his confidence back, or will at least give him a rest.

Dawson, half time. Actually with the lack of defenders on the bench, probably can't use one that early. Shame.

Iles on BEN site singling Ream out for a bad pass giving them a chance saved by Bogdan. Hope it's a momentary lapse and he's not going back to being sh!t again.

Cottee on SSN said possession being dominated by Bolton. Time to start making it count! Watford's defence can't be as good as Everton's, so here's hoping.

Right children. Time to wave a cheery bye-bye to Worthy''s thread of loveliness. I'm locking it up forever before kick off today, so if anyone has any last crumbs of gossip get them in now. Someone feel free start a new thread, though I don't see the point as I doubt that this one will ever be bett...

Re: Holden Back For Wears.

Was on the wrong end of a bad tackle. Hurt his foot, but limped off without aid. I guess that's good , in a way. Rather precautions taken than any other route, anyway. Agreed. A key part of returning pscychologically from a long injury layoff is getting over a couple of minor strains and knocks wit...
