Re: Bolton Wanderers - All or Nowt

Owt or nowt, Shirley.

Does everything have to sound like it is soundtracked by Hans Zimmer these days?

Looks official, per parkrun uk's pet journo, however they f*cking buried that stage 4 caveat in there.

Re: The athletics/running thread

Struggled round a short, slow run this morning. Bit depressing but better then nothing and probably helped burn off some of the calories in the cupcake I had for breakfast afterwards. Going to try getting out running 2 x a week where possible now but we shall see… Nice work gg! Don't matter about t...

Re: The athletics/running thread

All clear to give running a go at the weekend* *max 1.5km at a speed of 7kmph. Then not again until the following weekend. Baby steps but at least some steps! How did you get on? Not well! Same pain when trotting, which was disappointing. However have upped exercises like cycling and even boxing no...

Re: What are you watching tonight?

On search for another series to binge and started watching Hinterland on Netflix last night. An enjoyable first episode, but one wonders whether I should start branching out from brooding police investigation dramas.

Re: Where are you going tonight?

Just back from a short trip west to Stratford's Westfield shopping centre. Not to buy anything, but to receive; in particular my first dose of the ol' Pfizer. I did wonder why they chose a densely populated shopping centre to pop open a vaccine clinic, but then I guess there's a lot of empty retail ...

Re: What are you reading tonight?

Finished 'The Thursday Murder Club' over the long weekend, by Richard Osman. Finished it over two days for want of completion but one of the more forgettable offerings I've read from that genre, as well as a bit cringeworthy in places. Characters way undercooked while the plot is burnt to a crisp.

Re: What are you watching tonight?

Just finished season 4. Goodness. A number of superlatives in Unforgotten's general direction. Haven't been captivated like that in a long time.

I note season 5 has already been announced, I do wonder with both excitement and trepidation where it goes from here.

Re: General Chit Chat

How come a man held up an inveterate liar a short while back, is now having his version of events taken as gospel? :conf: I mean forgetting that he's telling us things that anyone with a brain who can read already knows. Anyone who genuinely doesn't think we in early March were set on a course of '...

Randomly stumbled onto this podcast with Evatt during his time with Barrer. Interesting stuff, certainly doesn't lack confidence in himself! :)

Re: Summer 2021 Transfer Thread.

Rumours Dapo has signed after Santos and Sarc did an Instagram live stream saying they'd see him in a couple of weeks for pre-season. What a world. I saw the video but I’m not convinced they aren’t just trying to encourage him. [tweet]https://mobile.twitter.com/omairsadiq9/status/139624862685535027...
