Re: The Scally Kents - Gillingham (H) - Mon 12 Dec 20:00

We looked good. Really, bloody good. Some of the Gillingham defending was a tad suicidal at times, but no one is defending Vela's cross on the first goal. Fantastic ball and glad Madine could put it away (and didn't break his nose on the post after). Vela and Clough developing a real partnership whi...

Always been a big fan of chips, mushy peas and curry sauce myself.

Can't be doing with the fried fish. Just never taken to it. Will still eat it of course.

Re: Brexit or Britin

http://cdn.exchangerates.org.uk/graphs/GBP-EUR-90-day-exchange-rate-history-graph-medium.png It would seem the 'crash' and 'Armageddon' of sterling against the Euro , promoted by the remoaners, is not happening to the script they read from the song sheet! The Euro is still widely regarded as a susp...

Re: The Politics Thread

Calling out working class americans as thick bastards and perpetuating their own downfall is completely self-serving and misses the point. The rust belt hasn't voted Republican since the eighties. What was it that was so wrong with the status quo that drove millions to vote for a demagogue?

Re: The Politics Thread

I think there was a certain degree of hubris in the Democratic campaign that Trump 'could not' win. Read an interesting article earlier which argued that Hillary, despite her experience and qualifications as such, was precisely the wrong candidate for an election where voters wanted to smash the sys...

Re: The Politics Thread

The trouble is that the 'change' candidates aren't actual change. Trump a man who made his fortunes benefitting from Reaganomics. He's a sheep in wolves clothing. Sadly he's also a dangerous one. https://scontent-ams3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/14955776_10100552409281216_620093417080761234_n.jpg?oh=16...
