Re: The Day I Met A Footballer

Back in my day as a property journo I went to an exhibition somewhere in West London. One companies had Lee Sharpe at their stand as their ambassador. To be honest given the suit and slicked-back hair, he looked like he suited the business of selling timeshares in Barbados!

Just seen Bury have lost their last four league games.

Absolutely domed, we are.

Re: NFL

[quote="Montreal Wanderer" Atlanta beat my Raiders on a fluke deflection to start the season but I'm not sure beating Oakland makes one a threat. Still no one else has done it this season.[/quote] How Oakland are 4-1 is incredible. Some crazy play calls by Blackjack Del Rio somehow coming off...

Yeah he's back, but on IR for the season. McKinnon looks able though, which is all they really need.

Re: NFL

Absolutely Atlanta look the real deal. Not sure beating the Broncos was a huge shock. Superbowl winners are usually broken apart bit by bit in the following seasons (aren't they?). The form of the Panthers is the big shock (I think Atlanta has defeated them this season too?) considering how good th...

Re: NFL

Brady's back then, and torches Cleveland as per. Pittsburgh offense looks terrifying. If Coates didn't have stone hands they would be unstoppable. Falcons beat Broncos in somewhat of a surprise. Can we now talk about Atlanta being a real threat? Buffalo defense continues to go underappreciated. For ...

Re: NFL

Caught the bug when I was over there last year. Took me a while to get up to speed but I'm almost there now, though some things still elude me. Chose to be a Bills fan which has proved to be a terrible decision. At least I'm used to crap defence and a blunt offense. 0-2 and have the Pats and Cardina...

Re: Mean time, in Greenwich. Charlton away thread. 27-Aug. 2

Good to see devon, hmx, dartisan and enfield on saturday. We looked very tired, but we were functional. Defence very solid, one Mark Howard brainfart aside. Bit disappointing we took the lead then eased off but eh well. Think we could have put a few more past them if we tried. Point's a point though...
