Scratch that, Iredale is on the bench.

Re: Wycombe and we go: Away vs Wycombe (Tues 24th October 19:45)
Good point regarding Lee. I think most of us thought it was the right decision to not offer him a new contract, but with hindsight, even if he could only play one game a week it's hard to see that he wouldn't have had a positive impact this season. Hopefully Maghoma and CMG coming back will help fil...

I couldn’t watch the match on Saturday, but everyone seems to agree that we physically dropped off in the second half. I know you go to the home games, Insano, so your opinions are undoubtedly informed, but I don’t get why you think the same players would sometimes try hard and sometimes not. Especi...

Jones extremely fortuitous to regain his place. He needs to put in a good showing to justify his manager’s faith.

Selection decisions to be made at the back and in midfield, which hasn't really been the case for our past few matches.

Re: Following the Hird
Probably not, and he'd likely be playing third fiddle, because Evatt already has an assistant manager.sonicthewhite wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 1:54 pmDean Holden is still without a job. Would he be a good fit? Would he want to play second fiddle?

Are Oxford as good as Plymouth, Ipswich or Wednesday? It doesn't seem that way to me, although of course what's important is how good they are relative to the rest of the teams in the league this season. I certainly wouldn't be confident they'll finish above us, though.

No one on here is using 'trust the process' as a defence of Evatt, so throw that one in the bin.

Re: Oh to be in Bolton....At Home to Carlisle United , Sat 7th Sept. 3-o'clock.
Well, that was crap. To a man, everyone was shite. They lost pretty much ever duel and we resorted to diving in desperation. We really need to do something about our shape and system. Barely a quarter of the way into the season and they're all fecked like they've played 50 games. When we amble out ...

Re: Oh to be in Bolton....At Home to Carlisle United , Sat 7th Sept. 3-o'clock.
Fitness and tactics would definitely be concerns of mine also. I'd hope that the latter could be helped by bringing in a smart new first team coach, but even if we bring someone good in it's likely their impact won't be felt for a while. A fresh perspective inside the coaching set-up certainly seems...

Re: Oh to be in Bolton....At Home to Carlisle United , Sat 7th Sept. 3-o'clock.
The budget thing wasn't a defence of Evatt, it was an "I'm not sure it's stretching to 6 quality signings in Jan" thing - players who are known outside the confines of people with spreadsheets. I don't see us assembling an XI where it's clear, the team just has to show up. But equally, I doubt Oxfo...

Re: Oh to be in Bolton....At Home to Carlisle United , Sat 7th Sept. 3-o'clock.
I’m not sure it is that simple - I think we’re Bering the fruits of the poor summer window. We’ve got players carrying injuries and no-one to bring into the side because we wasted our transfer budget. Maghoma and CMG are injured. Morley and Bodvarsson could both have been put in the side, but Evatt...
