Far too pedestrian, giving them all the time in the world to get behind the ball. Move the ball quicker and drag the feckers all around the park. Mbete who doesn’t want to cross the ball is getting into positions that John should be in. We’ve had feck all down the left!

Re: Tonight's Football

Up at Arsenal yesterday to watch us concede a goal from a free kick that shouldn’t have been, that was blatantly offside! We didn’t play well and probably didn’t deserve the win, but VAR is a joke 😤 It’s also ruined the spectacle of the game. I’ve long since thought this, but it was never more evid...

I’m also going to cheer you lot on with Burnden Paddock as I’ve not been to Charlton before and like a new London away ground! Obviously hoping it’s up to the quality of football I’ve been watching at The Emirates this season  It’ll be much higher quality than you’re used to. Think of it as a...

On the subject of eye watering prices, BP was telling me this week that Charlton were advertising match day parking at the Valley for £45

Re: The athletics/running thread

Anyone got any sport related New Years resolutions then?! Last year was one of my worst for getting out running in ages. I’d like to say this year will be better but motivation is seriously lacking! I may join the leisure centre and get to some fitness classes instead! Determined (sort of) to get b...

Re: The athletics/running thread

A month on and not much changed. Missed Knutsford but managed Leeds Abbey Dash (in Biblical conditions I may add) but am now having trouble with the other leg. Pulled up short on a run last night. Hope I can sort it for the weekend when I'm up for a 5km race in Bromley Cross. Anybody else getting o...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Mojo has well and truly upped and done one! Just been to Rammy. Felt both guilty and deflated seeing all the 'Impending Road Closure' signs out for this Sunday's Bury 10K. In the New Year, Boyo, we HAVE to make a start on the long road back. If you want me to put a training programme together, incl...

Re: The Politics Thread

I thought I couldn't be any more worried about our country's future but then watching some of the news coverage last night and this morning, proved me wrong. The number of seemingly rational people who said "Bring back Boris" was quite distressing. "I know he's a proven liar, cheat, bumbling, works...

Re: Abdoulaye's Twin (50), today....

Thanks folks. Was travelling yesterday so only saw this today. I figured I was due to leave the island as I'd not been off since March 2020. It is also about the 6 or 7th time out of my village in that time  I've been away from civilisation that long it was a bit overwhelming by the time I h...

I have around half a dozen of those above and have been thinking of sticking them on eBay, but never get around to doing it. Wore the dark Green Reebok shirt to the Barnsley game on Saturday, so am now considering that one jinxed!

Re: The athletics/running thread

Got GtE coming over for the Leeds Abbey Dash 10k in 3 weeks. Should be a good do. Some very fast runners turn up for it and usually 2-3000 overall. Out of town to the ruins of Kirkstall Abbey and back. Trying to tempt Bruce and BP. I was well up for it when you first mentioned it around 6 weeks ago...

The utd fans streaming out before half time was very funny.
Things you love to see. 😂 Hopefully it becomes even more embarrassing in the second half!
