Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

Hats off to the club, an excellent Jan window in the end, all 4 are very good players. There will be no more questions from me in regards to the Bond funds. They (FV, Evatt, Markham etc.) have been clever and saved some money to see where we are in Jan and have now provided the funds to try and get ...

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

We are still in an excellent position to gain an automatic spot, but the gamble to go in light in the summer is now catching up. We will not get a better chance than this IMO. It's not my money to spend but there must be some of the bond money left (there has to be....) and the Swiss investment mone...

Well no one had any inside knowledge last time you asked about the £4.5m, Bertie, so I'm not any more hopeful this go! :-) Hart did recently say they're looking at upgrading the sound system, so you'll be able to hear The Wanderer better as the pre-match walk on. Yay. That wouldn't surprise me, it ...

Re: South to East (London, that is) Leyton Orient away Sat 20th Jan 3-0'clock..

So Santos is back to being a pub player. Vic presumably was a liability again. Squad isn't big enough. Players we do have aren't good enough. Our manager is crap. I suppose all we're missing to make BWFCi happy is being able to blame poor Dan.... But, as he also points out (regularly....), it's dea...

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

This guy is a very good player, the type that we would need in the championship. I know a couple of PNE fans who really rated him.

Big imposing midfielder, seriously hoping that its more than just speculation. Only concern is why have the likes of West Brom & Stoke turned him down ?

Didn't watch it therefore I can't comment on the actual performance but a great win, it at least shows some spirit for them to come back from 2-2. When they came back to 2-2 I did think here we go again and feared the worst, but was pleasantly surprised with the two late goals.

Re: Sole destroying: Northampton home Sat 21/10 15:00

The issue for me is that Evatt is incapable of changing things, he does the same thing every game even if its not working. I honestly wonder what the hell they do in training every week, because game after game they do the same thing, make the same errors and play with the same slow, lethargic, can'...

Re: Sole destroying: Northampton home Sat 21/10 15:00

It's all about stats not what you pay to watch, whether your bored shitless watching players going through the motions in the 2nd half of most games it doesn't matter a jot because the stats say that your lying and it must be good. By the way before anyone comes back yes I didn't go today, ST left i...

If the team are only going to play for one half then the club should half ticket prices.
They can then expect you to leave at half time?

Might see the second halves improve without the negativity.
Yes they could. If it helps the team win I'll stop going completely.

Didn't go today thank fcuk, but a win is a win. However, hearing from people who did said it was same old same old, played well for 25-30 mins then went to shite for the rest of the game. There is something very wrong with the teams mentality, attitude & fitness, they have just had two weeks off and...

Re: Oh to be in Bolton....At Home to Carlisle United , Sat 7th Sept. 3-o'clock.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, its football its subjective and with most sport people see things differently and it doesn't mean anyone is right or wrong. Some like me are quite impatient and don't see much if any improvement under Evatt, others think that he's doing a good job. What I will say...

Re: Oh to be in Bolton....At Home to Carlisle United , Sat 7th Sept. 3-o'clock.

I wasn't going to post after Saturday as I was so angry with the absolute shite on display (not for the 1st time this season) It won't be a surprise but I want Evatt to go, he hasn't got a clue regarding what's required to get us out of league 1. Saturday was absolutely turgid, the football slow & p...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

I've just read about Dempsey almost having his nose broken by Adeboyejo this week in training, what the feck - with all the injuries prior to this week, surely Evatt should have been telling them to back off a bit. It sounds like the training is over intensive, which saying as we are not the fittest...

Evatt saying that he will make a decision on Charles at the last possible moment & also we picked up more injuries following the Reading game that he didn't know about until the last few days. Looks like we are down to the bare bones - or perhaps more Evatt mind games ?

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

So is the consensus that our summer transfer budget (fees) was only around £800k ? If so I have to ask again (apologies for doing so) what on earth is the £4.5M fans bond money being spent on, they didn't even use it to replace the pitch. Again I appreciate that it was said that the money was not ju...

Re: Dem Bones, Dem Bones, Dem Bare Bones....

I haven't got access to view this BN article, is it true that Evatt gave the players 5 days off before the Reading game ? if so no wonder they tired in the last 20 mins or so. Also from what I can gather from bits & pieces elsewhere did he also say we didn't have the funds for anymore signing ?

Re: Burn after Reading. Reading (A) League 1. Saturday 16th September 2023. 3pm KO

I appreciate that Ipswich had a higher budget than us, but I thought that last season they recruited several 'proven' experienced championship players - although I could be wrong as I often am. This could be why they are doing well this season ? Interesting theory, BW. Last summer they signed a fai...

Re: Burn after Reading. Reading (A) League 1. Saturday 16th September 2023. 3pm KO

Yeah, this fixation on JCH is daft. He doesn’t really fit our style , would likely demand sky high wages on top of a big transfer fee, and potentially has a questionable attitude. It’s easy for fans to massively oversimplify things, but the realities of constructing a football team are presumably n...
