Still a good point - especially with everyone below us losing.

If Kirchoff is half the player for us that he was for Sam at Sunderland we will be fine.

Their commentators are going ape
They are convinced that they are going to give it us on a plate

"How we wish Jem Karacan was coming on for us not for Bolton"

Re: Bottom feeders: wounded Wanderers v sinking Sunderland 20/2/18 8pm

Kirchhoff's interesting. 6ft 5in. Still only 27. Signed by Bayern at 23 after doing well for Mainz, but his career's stalled since – loaned out to Schalke, dropped to Bayern's reserves, then 18 months at Sunderland, Sam-signed in January 2016. Debut at centre-back was the most calamitous since Wood...

Re: RIP Jimmy Armfield

Heard it on the radio earlier this evening. Condolences to his immediate family and those that knew him. Very sad news. I think he was in my first ever away match - aged about 7- It was live on TV- the first ever - away at Bloomfield road. BWFC making history. http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/co...

Incidentally, I've been in Ipswich for the last couple of days (nice town) and whenever I'm down there, you never hear a good word said about Mick Mick works to the rules set down by owner Marcus Evans. Spelt out here. http://www.eadt.co.uk/sport/ipswich-town-owner-marcus-evans-gives-his-only-inter...

Re: Time to Declare...

Have we moved on a bit.
last 15 games - 23 points
A repeat of that should see us OK with a couple of weeks to spare.
That would be tough to keep going, but at least we have a fighting chance now

It was dreadful but six unbeaten and in touch. Given we looked like going down without about 6 points 6 weeks ago it's ok.
Seconded.
It was an awful match - two poor teams.

But at least we got something out of it

Re: Turning the tide? Orwell adrift? Ipswich (A) 16/9/17 3pm

On the face of it, Ipswich – embarking upon their 16th successive second-stratum season since being sent down by Fredi Bobic’s outlier of a hat-trick – could be firmly pinned into the middle of the Championship’s three mini-divisions: presumably safe from the drop, but significantly outmuscled by t...

Re: The Blades to stick the knife in? Bolton v Sheffield Utd 12/9/17.

We're playing a side that came up with us at home. We have to look for all three points here. Agree, with some minor reservations. Allardyce would probably accept a point to end the run, but under him we were never quite as marooned (although we did have longer bad runs: 12 winless in 01/02, six st...

Re: Freedman out!

First act as DoF at Palace - De Boer, 47, met with Palace chairman Steve Parish and sporting director Dougie Freedman on Monday, 28 August. Parish and Freedman left that meeting very underwhelmed and with no confidence that the Dutchman was the right man to turn Palace's fortunes around. Two weeks (...

Re: It was 13 years ago today

Don't know how to write this on the interweb without it becoming some binary nonsense. Hierro was absolutely fantastic for that period in the latter half of the season in midfield. Superb. However, I often hear Bolton fans say he was the best player they've seen. He played less than half a season o...

Re: BFS - Youth Policy

Think he means it, only because I can't see a better job he could get. Shame as I thought he'd have Palace knocking on 8th next year. Best English manager of his generation by some distance. Yep. Shame he blew it when given a real opportunity. That is gonna haunt him. Yes. Probably the reason he's ...

Re: Vale of tears or happy valley? Port Vale (A) Sat 22 Apr 3pm

I seem to remember winning promotion at Port Vale in the dim and distant past. Anyone else? From this division i think. Nah, wasn't it technically 96-97 under Todd? They were our first opponents of the 96/97 hundred-goal season; we sold Curcic a few days before. I reckon Will's thinking of the 1973...

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Wonder if the auditors was forced i.e. Deloitte said no thanks to rooting through our files again! I thought that, too. Although not sure whether we thought we didn't want them rooting through our files again... Presumably Deloitte aren't the most budget friendly auditors for a skint football club....
