Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

HG everyone is entitled to agree or disagree its what forums like this are for - but I don't need an excuse not to go on Saturday in the cup, and quite a few who I was with at the Fleetwood game think the same, and I don't think that it makes fans not going against Plymouth 'negative'. We all have d...

Re: Will our guile make Plymouth rock? FA Cup 1st Round 9.11.19 KO 3pm

Looking forward to it. This is a big game for us . Potentially progressing to the 3rd round and a good draw could be big bucks. Hope we win and continue the good form. Probably biggest game we've had thus far. Not for me, I hope that Hill plays some of the youngsters we cant afford any more injurie...

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

So we have an overall wage budget for the squad not per player, and that the club possibly felt that they didn't want to pay Billy Clarke more than £2k a week - I'm sure over the past few months that you have been saying that we couldn't pay any player more than £2k a week ?

Re: Onwards and Downwards: 2020 transfer speculation thread.

Maybe we couldn’t afford him - stringent wage cap under embargo Surely we find out from agents etc. what his salary demands are likely to be before approaching & asking the player to come & train with us or come on trial. Otherwise its just a complete waste of everyone's time, the club, staff & pla...

Re: Cod Almighty or Fleetwood Cack? (H) Sat 2 Nov, 3pm

Cheeky fish-bothering bastards have launched a complaint about our stewards after their nerr-do-wells kicked off with them in the away end. 😐 They can complain all they want, but it looked from where I was sat like it was their own fault, there looked to be about 20-25 lads /school boys (not one lo...

Re: Cod Almighty or Fleetwood Cack? (H) Sat 2 Nov, 3pm

I thought Zouma had a decent game, Lowe & Dodoo outstanding - I thought that it was strange to sub Politic but apparently it was tactical, D Murphy took his goal well. We did look tired again though last 20 mins and I thought that we sat back to much. Decent performance, against a good Fleetwood sid...

Re: Cod Almighty or Fleetwood Cack? (H) Sat 2 Nov, 3pm

With Crawford being out its essential that Lowe plays in midfield, therefore we need one of the experienced CB's back to partner Zouma, as I posted earlier if its Senior & Zouma together Ched Evans will have a field day and it'll be 3 or 4 to them. I actually expect Wright or Hobbs to play, in which...

Re: Cod Almighty or Fleetwood Cack? (H) Sat 2 Nov, 3pm

If we have the two young lads together in central defence (Zouma & Senior), then IMO it will be similar to the Rochdale game and we will lose. However, if we can get either Hobbs, Wright or Earl back to partner Zouma then I think that we now have enough up front now with Murphy, O'Grady & Dodoo (eve...

Re: Loanees available

Cheers Insane. Dibs - it still surprises me that we never went back in for O'Neill, or for that matter that no one else did. He still looks in great nick too but I imagine he wouldn't be game ready for at least a month Its not like years ago though when players were on the piss & unfit in the off s...

Re: Loanees available

Another way of looking at this based on Hill's post match interview last night, is that perhaps he's asked FV if he can sign more players or another player (if we are limited to 23 ?) & more staff (he mentioned not having enough staff last night), and perhaps they (FV) have said no - who knows apart...

Re: Loanees available

What player is he going to get - anyone will take weeks to get to full fitness. I suspect if there was someone he could bring in now he would. But you'd be paying a wage for someone who gets fit, round about January. We've seen how long its taken many to get fit - and they only missed a month or tw...

Re: Loanees available

Cheeky loan bid for Will Grigg in the next window? His penalty miss tonight felt like the final nail in his Sunderland coffin He's shite. And we have 3 strikers who all look capable in different ways. All efforts have to be midfield and back four where we completely lack in numbers and in terms of ...

Re: League One 2019/20

Everyone has accepted the 12 point deduction due to going into admin - but why should we get any further punishment for the Doncaster game, it was only postponed & will still be played. It was a young player welfare issue following the leagues guidelines - its not much different to a team having a g...

Re: Laughing gas or tear gas? Bristol Rovers (A), Tue 22 Oct 2019 7.45pm

What an outstanding result, well done to the management & players - just listen to your uncle Bertie, said last week to play L Murphy from the start against Rochdale (instead of Graham) & said earlier today to change formation / tactics and why not try 2 up front & what does Hill do play 3 strikers....

Re: Laughing gas or tear gas? Bristol Rovers (A), Tue 22 Oct 2019 7.45pm

If we think we're going to struggle to control the game, playing two up top makes little sense. We'd presumably be playing four in midfield, meaning less cover in front of the very centre-backs we need to protect. What we need to do is get players up around Daryl. Dodoo should help in this respect ...

Re: Laughing gas or tear gas? Bristol Rovers (A), Tue 22 Oct 2019 7.45pm

Another loss on the cards tonight. Kids in the back 4 with Luke Murphy in the middle. Hopefully we keep it below 5. This it'll be at least 3 or 4 to BR if we have to play the 2 young lads at CB, also if no one (fans or manager) is bothered about results or winning games and have given up until next...

Re: It's Rochdale....again. Rochdale (H) 19th October 2019 15:00

Another month without winning and the crowds are going to take a tumble. That’s the problem with cheap season tickets. Personally I don't think having cheap season tickets is the issue - regardless of the cost of a ST surely long suffering fans cant be expected to just continually turn up week afte...
