Re: COVID-19/20 season
Indeed. A difficult decision has to be made. No matter what the outcome, someone will be more upset than the other. We all know Covid isn't going away quickly. If anymore Countries decide to call it a day, the more pressure on the PL to follow suit. One thing for sure, we know life isn't going to be...

Re: COVID-19/20 season
If the season does continue there's going to be claims galore, especially if any of the players come down with Covid. Resume or declare the season void will cause problems either way. Money at all cost regardless of safety.
The final decision should come from the PM not the PL.

Re: COVID-19/20 season
Looks like the French have cancelled their season yet, the Premier league seems hell bent on completing theirs. There is such little time to complete all those games plus, players will be out of contract. The best the Prem and EFL can do is declare this season void. There will be disappointments amo...

Re: COVID-19/20 season
6 June mooted as a possible date for the season to resume. Completing the outstanding games, including the play-offs (spoiler: we miss out), within 56 days takes us to 31 July. My personal opinion is this season will resume with just the play offs and the current positions being accepted as final. ...

Re: COVID-19/20 season
The longer this virus lingers the longer football will remain absent. There are many clubs treading water and worried for their survival in these current climes. Who will be the first club to announce they're experiencing financial problems. There are too many clubs relying on the money from TV righ...

Re: COVID-19/20 season
I have no doubt this season is over and will probably struggle to begin a new one in August. I read earlier that amateur leagues have been called void which gives my home Town club Atherton colls another chance at the Northern prem. As yet, nothing has been mentioned whether the Premier League or th...

Re: COVID-19/20 season
If anyone believes the season to begin again in August should give this a bit more thought. I can't see this virus disappearing in time for a new season, It could take over a year for this to clear and safe for folk to mix again. Life as we knew it doesn't exist and wont for a while yet. I won't vis...

Re: FV Recruitment Model
This could be the end of the season as we know it. What happens should this be the case will be a headache for the PL & EFL. Some clubs will simply not survive. I firmly believe Uefa, Fifa and other footballing bodies could call an end to all competitions and declare them void. What will happen shou...

Re: FV Recruitment Model
It's not looking good for sporting events with football seeming to will follow sooner than later. Will Bolton's game V Peterbrorough be played of postponed, or even played behind closed doors. What ever does happen at this stage in the season could be worry for the club once again. Do FV have the fi...

Re: The Keith Hill out thread
I can't bring myself listen to Hills pre/post match interviews any longer, the guy just waffles on and on. According to form he was pleased by that performance at Wimbledon. That says everything about this manager.

Can't score goals and don't even look like scoring. It's been a problem for years.

Re: Don the tin helmets and Plough on regardless, AFCW (A) 7/3/2020 3pm9
So I'm guessing the second half was as bad as the first. I doubt that FV will be impressed and hope for a reaction from them sooner than later. This is not good, and Bolton fans deserve better than this. I expect FV to make a management change sooner than later. Hill had failed in my opinion and he ...

Re: Don the tin helmets and Plough on regardless, AFCW (A) 7/3/2020 3pm9
That first half was bloody terrible. That Bolton team has to be the worst I have ever witnessed, and believe me there have been many. I know I have shouted to keep Hill in for next season but I have many doubts. This crop of players would struggle big time in the bottom league. Before the (" we're l...

Re: Division Four, 2020-?
I remember last time we were in the bottom league and it wasn't an easy ride. It's going to take a highly skilled manager to gather a group of players supposedly good enough to get promotion. As much as I'd like a different manager to make that assault, it would appear Mr Hill will once again lead t...

Re: More donkey lashing? Blackpool (A) 25.2.20 KO 7.45
I watched it via I follow and thought afterwards what a waste of time. I didn't know whether to cry or laugh after they got the winner. Suppose I have become accustom to these type of performances over the past few years, not knowing where our next goal is coming from let alone a point. I fear for n...
