Re: Hover through the fog and filthy air: Boro (A) 15.8.15
Boro are spending a lot, though. It reminds me of the 94/95 season when we went up with them and Bryan Robson was pretty much given a blank cheque. Is this still the same owner? Steve Gibson has owned the club since we almost went into liquidation in 86. This season is the first time we've had much...

And yes I know thats a comparison cos he is black but by god a Faye type defender would be great. So jts also wishfull thinking. With a name li...

Re: Season 2015/16 - What does it hold in store?
Never did quite get this personal number thing. If chosen, you played a position,2-11 (goalie didn't need one) right back, left back, centre forward etc, etc. You got the shirt with the relevant number and away you went. Shirts? One size fitted all, even if the really big lads bust the seams and any...

Didn't Jussi also get sent off for slapping someone (Birmingham player I think)? The word "slapping" greatly exaggerates the force used.

Re: Sturm Graz Vs BWFC
So when we lose our first 3 or 4 games we can't blame it on lack of match fitness as our opponents will not have been match fit either???

Re: 2015/16 pre-season
Does anybody think Lennon will try for three at the back this pre season? He tried and failed mid season but may give it another go with a full pre season to push it on the lads. I'm not sure he will try in pre-season but he certainly likes that formation. If he gets the right personnel, I think he...

I'll miss all three home games in September due to holidays. Given the tough start I can't decide if I'm going to be disappointed or relieved

Elyounoussi's goals had a lot of deflections going on - still, better to be born lucky than beautiful. Liked the look of Enrich as he's got a bigger physical presence - then again I liked the look of a certain Mr Braaten.

That's probably just family then.. (possibly- if they can be bothered turning up - unlike most of the "team" most of the time).jonnybwfc wrote:Lap of appreciation, isn't it ?
Where the players circle the pitch, clapping those still there, ie. family and friends.

Re: Player of the Season?
Timothy "By Default" Ream wins the supporters' association one again. Darren second. In the land of the useless bastards, the man who was absolutely awful for two years, thus making "useless bastard" a huge improvement, is king. Might be interesting to make a list of our squad in order of " Useless...

Re: At Home to Norwich...
Gudjohnsen's touch is outstanding, he never gets caught in possession and 99% of the time finds a white shirt in space. Not my usual modus operandi, but I had a look. His pass accuracy this season is 79% which of the players we've used has him tied for 9th place, level with those notable fan's favo...

Re: At Home to Norwich...
I fancy the stats flatter Norwich, not that much between the teams for me. They had a bit more pace available and looked more of a threat up front. Mind you, Tango might have looked better than Heskey, waste of a shirt and Gudjohnsen, for all his class, doesn't offer much. I thought Ream Dervite an...
