Re: Pre-season fixtures 2017

Based on their names, I'd hazard a guess that 8 of the starting 11 tonight are trialists for the U23 squad.

Re: Pre-season fixtures 2017

The teamsheet for the Atherton Collieries game tonight:

Amos, Shackleford, Percival, Bainbridge, Syme, Wright, Earing, Nabil, Woods, Walliau, Hall

Subs: Turner, Hadyi, White, Lonsdale, Fearnley

Who's this Amos that's in goal?

Re: Pre-season fixtures 2017

Take your partners for the eightsome reel... http://i64.tinypic.com/33u3dkj.jpg That's quite clearly Ameobi on the bench already so Buckley must have switched to the right as it was CTaylor who played on the left (at least for the first quarter of an hour of the second half). I wonder if Buckley eve...

Did that young forward play again? Guy we signed from Sheff U who looks quick?
He did. He had one chance towards the end but other than that he didn't really get a look in. Much of the last half hour was cheese to the first half's chalk.

Re: Pre-season fixtures 2017

Good first half after a slowish start. Two excellent goals, the first coming from a long pass forward from Beevers and the second was set up by Madine and Ameobi. Buckley came off at half time and we seemed to sit back a bit and had to soak up a few corners. It got a bit niggly for a couple of minut...

Whilst I'm on, Haris Tabakovic, do we know owt about him?
I see his most prolific spell was on loan with FC Wil - a club whose main claim to fame is a chairman called Roger Bigger.

Some news other than missed payments and Twitter spats. Two re-signed, a new name and a cull of youth.

Morias & Buckley won't be in the same starting XI - Buckley would have to start with Morias as sub.
A quick shuftie of the internet suggests Buckley can play on either wing or even as a forward.

Re: The Politics Thread

What a fecked up society we have become. Steady on! The Tories are the 'natural party of government'. They'll surely see us all right in the long run. Until then we'll just have to muddle along with their strong and stable cabinet stuffed full of crackpots and charlatans. And if not, I'm sure The R...

Man of the People, Mr Compassionate Corbyn here, refusing to bow before the Queen, prior to winking to his mates. Embarrassing stuff from Jeremy. If that wasn't bad enough, I now read that arch-Remoaner Tim Farron designed the Queen's hat!!!!!!! What is this country coming to when a here-today-god-...

But what a disaster if she ends up with say a majority of 30 or 40 and cannot put the right of her party back in its box. I cannot believe how little substance she actually ...
