Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

Thought that was a great 3 points. Nervy at times, and lack of quality at others, but never felt the result was in doubt. I think Coleman has been a superb stand-in, but Baxter back with a bang. Absolutely love Jerome - such a professional and never lets us down. His minutes for us are limited, but ...

Re: Not between the lines...V Reading at home Monday Apr 1st 3-0;clock

Well that was quite a pleasant afternoon's business - and for once we kind of turned it on in front of the bumper crowd!!! Thought the whole team played really well - shout out to Coleman for a few crucial (& unconventional) saves / Toal and Iredale for solid defensive displays / and the water pisto...

Fairy nuff. Jerome and Forrester did a politely nothing wrong on Friday at all, but no issue with either of the replacements and will be good to give them a run out...

Re: What's Ste Evan's Age? 61, I think. Stevenage away. 29/03/2024 - 3pm

However at least Dave the Minion (aka Ian Evatt) & Mar will be happy as in their opinion Evatt can't do anything wrong. The only way that I'm renewing my ST if we are still in League 1 next season is if the manager isn't Evatt. Seriously??? This is hilarious... In case you need it spelling out, I'm...

Re: What's Ste Evan's Age? 61, I think. Stevenage away. 29/03/2024 - 3pm

Frustrating that. We were much better than them but lacked that cutting edge. Story of the season unfortunately. I'm not giving up though and results elsewhere over recent weeks are showing there are still many twists and turns to be had before all the games are through. Well done to Coleman again -...

I feel sorry for Evatt. He’s clearly got to the point where he doesn’t know how to take us forward or what we are missing. You could tell in the comments post derby but there are other games too. It is as I’ve said before that intangible set of qualities that get you over the line in big games that...

Re: Ox on the box, c*cks on the blocks? Oxford (H) Tue 12 Mar, 8pm

A little historical note: barring friendlies, I think that's the first time Evatt has ever substituted Rico during play. He's been subbed at half-time before, but I don't think his number's even gone up before. Wondering something along those lines - felt really odd to see him coming off like that!...

Evatt on injuries “It has to be the volume of games. Everyone wants cup runs but this fixture schedule – Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday – it has really taken its toll. Ahem. Is all I can say! Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm

But Evatts interview didn’t scream to me ‘we are confident and full of belief and it’s heads down to prove it’. Evatt could do his interview and scream ‘we are confident and full of belief and it’s heads down to prove it’ and our fans would pick that apart too. Full scale autopsy going on and that'...

Re: This Exe is on fire: Exeter (A) Sat 9 Mar, 3pm

When we are losing to Exeter and we throw people forward because there is nothing to lose. Yes it shows some fight to get back into the game. I agree. But broadly when it’s mattered for me we’ve not delivered. Whether that’s mentality or something else I don’t know. So we've got a team of mentally ...

Re: Raising the Bar: Barnsley (A), Tue 5 Mar 7.45pm

I think I've said it before on here, but the atmosphere at home certainly isn't helped by the number of teams that turn up to spoil the game, cheat, play negatively and waste time. If opposition players start time-wasting from minute 1 (like Cambridge did) and conning the refs (who we know are not c...
