Re: Sports Shield - New Owners (Probably)
well - bwfc isane Deano delivered to your brief - said feck all - wouldnt say what monies would be available, nor whether lennon would be retained; just basically that they'd shown enough money to cover this and next season. The questions were stupid. He's not going to say how much money they have ...

Re: The breaking News thread...
The club was sold for 7.75m with £15m still owed to Eddie Davies you said. I have some vague recollection of it being said Davies would right off the debt and sell for twenty million. Guess he pretty much got what he wanted. I'm not surprised. Be reet. That was years ago. For the past few months th...

Let's all hypothetically agree it's heading into an offshore bank somewhere. So what happens next? If you know/knew that, what do you do now? Nothing. But it would change the scope of the debate when the sports shield deal breaks down. So the hypothesis is that after months of negotiation and at th...

Re: The breaking News thread...
We seem to have rather lost sight of the fact that the book value of the assets is way in front of the reported asking price. I don't know the asking price but if Iles is the font of all knowledge then the book value out stripped the asking price by about £30m iirc.. yep - all capital and no revenu...

^^ well the sale of the training ground is not, to me, signalling the start of a glittering new regime with money to burn. They either didnt want it/ couldnt afford it or ED thought they would immediately sell. Definite backward step. Looks like we are still going to be operating in survival mode. ...

Re: Albion the away end, will you? Brighton (A) 13/02/16
I think you're being a bit harsh on Vela there, Insane. As soon as Vela releases it to Mavies - who is clearly asking for the ball - their number 7 is onto him like a rash. Mavies panics, can't see an option, and loses it. It's good pressing from Brighton but Mavies should have just hoofed it into ...

didnt think madine was one of our main problems on saturday - yup the first half miss was a howler, the 2nd half one a good chance - why he went with his left peg, god only knows, but other than that he did actually win quite a lot of his heading contests & hold it up for his non showing team mates....

That's what the Glazers did wasn't it? Leveraged buying I think they call it, don't they? There won't be many assets to leverage against soon....... wouldnt you sell them now if you were ED or in your benevolence would you let them have them for a quid and watch them sell them or raise loans agains...

Latest from Iles twitter: Best way to describe Sports Shield bid is "in limbo" - perhaps it got caught in the Bermuda Triangle? Tin Foil hat theory...he had to come back whilst the car park sold, so he could afford another two weeks. Man take holiday scandal... I'm not sure why you would think any of the consortiums would drop their pants in order to allow themselves to be bent over and screwed by the competition. Bit naive don't you think? no flies on you :conf: You suggested it. my naive reference was related any expectation that details of the commerci...

Re: The breaking News thread...
few observations. - other than a basic 'anyone but ED', why are people seemingly so keen to be quickly sold to one of these consortiums - you know v little if anything about them. Their seeming unwillingness to take on a smidgen of existing debt or obligation or guarantee future funds, doesn't fill...
