He also got the best players I've ever seen in our team. Small price really. Yep - I was remembering fondly the 2002-2006 years whilst I was stuck in traffic today. Whatever the circumstances of his departure, BSA gave us the best years we are likely to have supporting this club. To have the calibr...

I think Toure, at least the past couple seasons is highly over rated. Maybe, but selling him still puts a lot of pressure on Vermaelen to perform immediately and a lot of pressure on Gallas to not have a nervous breakdown. Behind them you've got Silvestre and Senderos . . . certainly not players yo...

Yep, I stand corrected on Perez. Wiki reveals his estimated net worth is £1.8 billion. With their revenues it doesn't seem there is any need for him to dip into his own pocket soon. I agree on the collective bargaining agreement also. It must stay in place for the sake of what is left of the competi...

So where do Real Madrid get their money from? Interesting read here Interesting. So basically they generate similar amounts to Man U/Arsenal in terms of Matchday, commercial revenue, but the biggest reason they are ahead is that they generate far more TV revenue. How long will it be before the big ...

See ya Ronaldo
See ya Ronaldooo,
running off to Spain, won't be back again,
See ya Ronaldooo.

I dislike Real Madrid and Man U in equal measure so I'm neutral at which of these clubs Ronaldo plays for. However, as Man U are a few minutes down the road, and IMO this will really detract from their team (he is irreplaceable), it is good news. They will still challenge next season, but it is wide...

Makes my potential offer of a Mars bar and a packet of crisps seem way over the top - I will have to rethink.

I really enjoyed that. Barca were a joy to watch, United made to look poor.

Iniesta and Xavi and Busquetts in the middle were outstanding, I think I might swap them for McCann, Muamba and Cohen.

I've just posted this in the Burnley thread in the Trotters section!

As I said in there, if has the same feel of Rioch and 1995/96, and it is hard to see a different result on the pitch for them. Still much wheeling and dealing to be done....

Southgate is hopeless. He interpreted needing to win the game by taking off all the defenders and putting on more attacking midfielders. Boro have completely lost any sense of a team pattern for the last 20 minutes of the game.

Boro look awful at the back, poor in midfield and lacklustre up front. If Newcastle don't win this they will deserve to go down.

I was amazed how poor they were. They really are a joke club: From Top chanter  to playing what most surely be the most expensive team ever to be in their position but with no team pattern (managerial talent there Mr Shearer (not)) to lack of fitness to half of their so called inspirational...

Having just switiched over to Setanta, please tell me that the guy I have just seen singing on the pitch hasn't been invited on the pitch just to sing "One Alan Shearer.....". If so LMFAO.

Not that long ago Southampton were seen as the way a small club should be run. Eighth place finish, FA cup final and all that. Then Strachan pissed off and it all fell to bits. A brownie point for anyone who can get the Southampton-Bolton link. Wigley? Rasiak? Tis indeed Wiggers (at least in light ...

Getting crucial decisions badly wrong whilst trying to do the right thing does not equate to a serious disregard for human life, no. I'm slightly playing devils advocate here, but lets just say that Duckenfield and the South Yorkshire police despised Liverpool football fans so much that they though...
