His dad will have told him that Keegan was there when Newcastle won the world cup.

Aye they're a bunch of deluded, self important, brainless pricks.

This has to be the funniest appointment of the year. I can't decide what is best the Mr Shrewd businessman Ashley is numb enough to appoint a shot manager like Keegan or that the fans think its the messiah returning and everything will be rosey in the garden now. Wonder if its too late to get a bet...

FOOOOOOOKING HELL! What a joke of a club. Sorry but appointing a man because he built a half decent team a decade ago but won fook all and since then has failed in virtually every football job he has had is a complete joke! However, it will galvanise those geordie bastards in the short term and I fe...

Agree it would be good. Problem is that the big Clubs have larger scouting networks etc. So finding the next Pele in some remote part accessible only by Yak is becoming more difficult for smaller clubs. Then if you do find them, keeping it a secret until they've signed is the next big hurdle.. Gott...

Re: Ronaldo

Substitute relevant names with related Anelka transfer speculation (see below). Thats how I want to see things done. Give me a job at the BBC! We won't sell Ronaldo - Man Utd Cristiano Ronaldo Ronaldo joined Man Utd in a £12.2m deal in August 2003 Manchester United chief executive David Gill insist...

my initial reaction at the time was 'what a load of bollocks' but now, whilst the evidence is still flimsy, it is incrdible that Fat Sam took no action....makes you think oh, but Harrison comes out as a right c*nt Yeah, that's what I mean - I don't think the programme looks any more substantial or ...

The Chronicle Article The 'insider' sounds like some bloke in the pub to me. Maybe, but the Chronicle usually have the inside line on Newcastle. Biggest load of B*llox article Ive read in a while - clearly written to massage the overly inflated ego of the barcode fans. Having family up in the NE I'...

According to the Evening Chronicle, Allardyce was sacked because despite Ashley, Mort, The Fans AND the players wanting to play a more attractive brand of football, Allardyce would not change, and kept talking about "winning ugly". Apparently they'd had enough. Had little to do with new signings oth...

Disappointed he’s been linked with a job already – The Rep of Ireland one. Any thoughts on where he’ll end up? People will look on it one of two ways. 1 – caught up in politics, bearing in mind Ashley is “one of the army” and did not appoint Sam. Or 2 – can’t handle money and big name players. Pers...

Perhaps this does show that Allardyce wasn't solely responsible for the success at Bolton and that the people behind the scenes scouts, coaches even old Garty had some involvement as well. This season for us has really been a continuation of the last 4 or 5 months of Allardyces reign we haven't yet...

Re: Rednapp to Toon?

Harry fav for the job. Surely he can't leave Pompey for them? I hope he does, probably my least favourite manager after Souness, so be delighted to see him screw up his chance with a "big" club like FSA. Can't see it myself, but then again I don't believe they've sacked Allardyce all of a sudden fo...

Sam has shown at Newcastle that his one dimensional approach to football and lack of flexability in his tactical thinking just doesn't work. It did for a while at Bolton but as soon as the other teams cottoned on as to how to play against such tactics, and even copied it in some instances, his appr...

The Championship ......Tight

I've just noticed how tight the championship is.

24 teams seperated by 23 points. The bottom club Preston are only 15 points off the play-off places.

I wonder if its ever been this tight before?

I'm not on either. Agree with the poster above, whats the point? If someone is driving that badly they should be reported straight to the police. A lot of the "reports" on there are in my opinion subjective and in some cases it could well be the reportee who was the bad driver, especially if their i...
