Re: Statement of Capital
Interesting to see that Saint Gareth is planning to meet with Saint Marcus to find out what's going on. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60787352 I could be wrong but trying to live up to the hype might just be getting in the way of Saint Marcus' day job. Not just the hype. This is the bad side...

Re: Statement of Capital
Saturday's opponents, Crewe, deserve a pat on the back. They filed their 2021 accounts a month ago and made a profit. They don't say anything about COVID though or how much they might have got from government support. Still only 9 out of 24 in League 1 have shown their hand. I'm expecting most will ...

Re: Statement of Capital
I see that Doctor Holdsworth has been described on another forum today as a ' Greasy haired, wife beating, Cockney debt-riddled prxck' following an allegation that he might be involved in some capacity in UoB Bolton Borough FC. Someone doesn't seem to be hiding his feelings very well.  ...

Re: Statement of Capital
As an avid non-watcher of any soaps, will stay forever as a classic when ever these things are mentioned. :D Isn't it interesting how we get from odd-looking loans to even more odd-looking share valuations to Derek's kidnapped Garden Gnome via a one pound company called Dubai Citi Group Ltd operati...

Re: Statement of Capital
I must say, that bit about Jack and Vera calling their house The Old Rectory has had me chuckling all day. Superb writing. 🤣 I could be quite wrong but suspect that Deano (sorry Doctor Holdsworth     :lol) was more of a Delboy than a Corrie fan. Actually I haven't watched Corrie...

Re: Statement of Capital
No. Instead of trying to belittle people how about asking do they actually know what you are inferring? I don't watch Corrie and neither did I watch Only Fools and Horses so I don't know what you keep alluding to either. Don't assume that everyone are the same. And I was always brought up to know t...

Re: Golf mates
I decided to take a small detour on the way back from Bentham yesterday. I wanted to take a look at Wennington Hall School. It looks magnificent but has only 15 pupils and is scheduled for closure in August. Got me thinking about alternative uses. https://www.lancasterguardian.co.uk/education/lanca...

Re: Statement of Capital
Maybe you'll have to treat me with the disdain I obviously deserve and as the idiot I clearly am, but - whilst I am fully aware of the Corrie reference - I still don't know why it was remotely worth mentioning Holdsworth's "new" (well, formed 6 months ago....) company with such hilarity?? The large...

Re: Golf mates
Interested to discover that Wennington Hall was designed by the Lancaster based architect E G Paley. Paley was best known for designing churches including Bolton Parish Church and Lancaster cathedral. If TD had ever been in 'the Gods' at the old Grand Theatre he would have entered the theatre via t...

I think you'll find that most of what I've posted is fact. I've always preferred it to opinion.

Re: Who do you believe?
Yeah - it sounds f*cking awful. I'm fine with rich successful sportspeople trying to make sure other kids can have slightly better childhoods. Christ a-f*cking-live. The sentiment's fine, commendable in fact; just can't stand the hype. Opinion allowed I believe?? Sorry TD but opinions are only allo...

Re: Who do you believe?
Nice to see Atletico Madrid doing the business yesterday but if hogwash is to your taste, you couldn't go far wrong with GQ magazine. Here's a veritable smorgasbord of gobbin fodder about ' one of the greatest footballers of our time '. Did he come on as sub last night? https://www.gq-magazine.co.uk...

Re: Golf mates
Had a trip out to Bentham G. C. yesterday. The forecast was chilly and cloudy but it turned out to be a beautiful morning. The mate who invites me to Bentham is a Citeh fan who insists on telling me about the most recent results of every Citeh team in every age group male and female. I indulge him w...

Re: Statement of Capital
What's so hilariously funny about forming a company with £1 share capital?? Doesn't mean a thing and it is ludicrously common...... Poor old Dave, or is it Rodney? I had to check whether the registered office of the Dubai City Group Ltd was Nelson Mandela House.   Nope, sorry. No co...
