Re: General Chit Chat

This did remind me of seeing a toy in the catalogue that I asked to have for my 8th (?) birthday. It caused much hilarity at the time as it was called 'Girls world'. It was basically a female head and you got to style and colour the hair. It looked ace! However, my early dreams of being a hairdress...

Re: The athletics/running thread

First run since 17th May and longest since 7th Feb. Only 3.85k but it’s a start. Managed to resist the amazing ice cream shop at 3.6k!

Which way to Ironman registration? 🤔

Re: Deal or no deal? - Summer 2022 Transfer gossip!

I've been on here for 15 years and, tbh, this has to be one of the worst gossip threads in all that time. Not even a "my cousin's best friend's sister has just seen X in Chorley KFC." Just putting it out there. :D Well my daughter's mothers sister said that she overhead two Currys sales reps in Tel...

Re: The athletics/running thread

Thought the topic is purely historical for me I occasionally read a post or two on here. Can't make my mind up which word comes up most, breakfasts or kilometres. Just wondering ? Some of us tough southerners Tango, run for the pure intrinsic reward and joy of it, and not the extrinsic bribe ...

Without GtE there, you two are just going to sack off the run and go to breakfast aren’t you?
I note that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle spent much of his adult life in East Sussex too. It must be something in the air. ;)
😂 One run and she thinks she’s Paula bloody Radcliffe!

Is anyone Park Running this Saturday?
More chance of breakfast than a run tbh. Done nothing at all for the last 7 weeks.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....

I can vouch that there’s much more than Gatwick Airport to Sussex. Been to lots of lovely places. Worth it for one of their bonfire nights alone, where health and safety goes out the window for one night. I’ve managed to convince GG that treacle toffee and parkin are worthy northern accompaniments ...

And you have gravy on your chips. Weirdos. Food is definitely better down south, that’s for sure.
I’ll convert your kids to it, the next time you’re up north. 😉

Some nice people up north but it’s not very green! The Lake District, the Peak District, the Pennines, the Yorkshire Dales, the North Yorks National Park, Northumbria and all of Scotland have just been on and asked me to call you an ignorant southern numpty. Luckily for you, I'm too polite :) BTW -...
