I had similar feelings myself, particularly when they showed the drone/blimp footage. I only wish I'd have been able to get a ticket.

A solid enough starting eleven to go with away from home against probably one of the best teams in the league. I presume the thinking behind playing Buckley over Wildschut is that he offers greater protection in front of Taylor, who wilI need it if he's up against Matty Phillips.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )
Ken's statement is a disgrace, natch. Disagree, KA should actually be applauded for clamping down on all of these piss taking contracts handed out by the previous regime. Slowly but surely he's sorting them out & getting new supplier / contractor contracts on more favourable terms for the club - so...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Jay Desilva young highly rated LB at Chelsea rumoured to be our next signing (probably on loan) - could be absolute bollocks though....but Lee Anderson was apparently at Chelsea a few days ago I saw that too but I think it's just people putting two and two together. I have to say though, I be quite...

Also, do you know the details of the contract between Heathcote & BWFC to enable you to come to this continuous criticism of all things KA. The sooner Heathcote is away from anything BWFC related the better, Heathcote has made a decent living out of BWFC but KA has seen through the contract that th...

Purely as a matter of interest BWFC_Insane, I used to live in Harwood. In those days our mailing address was the street address followed by "Harwood, nr Bolton, Lancs". Presumably the 'nr Bolton' bit was to clarify its geographic location relative to any other Harwoods in the country as there was n...

I've got a really good feeling about Murphy.
I don't know whether we'll bring Henry back but it's rumoured that we effectively put him on notice. I'd have him back here too.

I also quite like the idea of the University of Bolton stadium. I don't envy the poor mug who has to rearrange all the white seats, though.

Looks like Magennis can head a ball !!!
I think he could do really well for us. Put me in the "Parky will get the best out of him" camp as well.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
The only set-up we've used that generated a points return good enough to avoid relegation at this level is the 4-2-3-1 with a target man up front. This has been, in my opinion, largely because of the following three reasons: 1. Wheater and Beevers, our two best centre-backs, are cumbersome (not nece...

Re: Pre-Season Fixtures 2018
I'm not sure that it's really a matter of training as it is capability. I suppose we could improve our efforts to pass through the defence and midfield by working on it, but as it stands we'll still be starting with Wheater and Beevers at centre-back and they're both very limited in that department....

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
It's looking increasingly like Parky is being treated as a head coach and not a manager. I think this has somewhat always been the case. None of us really believed that le Fondre and Clough were Parky's signings, did we? But as you say (and you appear to know far more about the inner workings than ...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
I'm certain that if we do actually sign Wyke, it'll be no earlier than deadline day. Frankly, I think we've reached a point where we almost have to sign him now, just because we've invested so much energy as a club into him coming here that it'll be catastrophic to our already fragile morale if he d...
