These protesters, the charming ones breaking into banks and stealing shit Dells. Their opinion is that capitalism has failed. No problem, fair point. But jesus wept the alternative, their way of life, one where beating the shit out of policeman and fires is acceptable...not too sure if I want that....

Their salary is currently in line with civil service pay in accordance with the Baker Review by the SSRB (Senior Salaries Review Body). Link here I imagine if the EU can ratify the Lisbon treaty and progression is made in that, there will be some kind of alignment of salaries through member states....

Well, I've just been out for lunch. It's quiet. No queue in the sandwich shop. And far more people dressed in jeans and T-shirts than usual. Although there is a helicoter overhead. And, apparently, it's all getting exciting just down the road, at Bank... SEND IN THE TANKS!!! What - to stop me going...
