Feels like not quite good enough and play-offs. :-(
We're good enough, just not lucky enough.

Bit of bad from JonBod there. He's played strongly and well, but that was probably the third or fourth last-ditch let off they've had. We can do this COME ON YOU WHITES... :oyea: :oyea:

Re: Five Year EFL Deal: Death of the 3pm?

As ever, money, investors, betting and corporations rule the game. Football actually has little to do with any of it. Might as well just flip a coin . Results, not performance or entertainment are the priority....How many of the EFL committee actually own a season ticket to any club, or go to any fu...

Re: Getting hairy: Portsmuff at home 13/4/24 3pm KO

3-2 The Whites. A repeat of a game I went to at the Bok a few years back: We'd played well an were 3-1 up against Pompey with five minutes to go when chief assassin Andrew Cole popped up from nowhere and scored. The next five minutes seemed like an hour. We held out an won, but it was nerve-jangling...

North Westward Ho. We stay home and the Pompey sail up the map to visit the famous Unibol stadium. Here's how they are seeing a visit to the home of the Mighty Whites:

Having to win at Posh on the final day is a stomach-turning prospect tbh.
Its all part of being a Wanderer.
Aye, who wants to live on Easy Street? Nobody ever gave us anything. Get in there and win, it's sport, nobody dies.. :Jedi:

Re: Race to the tape: 2024's League One promotion campaign

Thanks DJb, as ever. Decent game spoiled by inefficient officials. Derby miss on 7 mins was a shocker , but Derby are deadly on the break. Not much in it right now. A goal either way could cause an uproar; let's hope it's a Wycombe one. Dry mouth time. All about the result. :|

Girls are 2-0 up at half time against Republic of Ireland after having scored a penalty and missed one. (hit the post)

The word "easy" shouldn't even be in our vocabulary. Hard is the only way forth. Carlisle can play like Brazil with nothing to lose. Beating Bolton is a big feather in caps. "Ride boldly ride, the Shade replied, "if you seek Eldorado"..

Re: The Nostradamus file....

Just a point that gives me the heebies is when our captain fantastic goes a-wandering too far up the pitch. No use denying that he hasn't lost the ball a few times, or that he isn't exactly Usain Bolt at foot racing back against speedy strikers. He's a rock in defence, but rocks don't move like pebb...

For every Yin there's a Yang; every opinion has value even if we don't agree. Come back Insaney, the club is the reason any of us are here and you undoubtedly love it.

On a separate note hope BWFCi is OK, I miss his posts.
I received a PM from him last week with a request to deactivate his account.

No reason given.

I'm surprised he's left here as things are much as they always are and he's been here a long time. Strange..???

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

Three home games left and a tough away one to finish. We'll really need a different game plane against Portsmouth next week, because if we give them the space at the back we've been doing lately, they'll rip us apart. We didn't really cause much threat up front today, but some of that was because th...

Re: Pirates but not from Penzance. Away to Bristol Sat 6th Apr. 3-0'clock

Great 3 points - at this stage of the season its about results not performances. Baxter excellent. Probably a good job. I'm a positive man, but our football is less than appealing right now. Bristol's football was attractive at times although walloping it down the left seemed to be a game plan, but...

Re: Womens football

Bit disappointing result but Sweden were a good side. Lauren Hemp is by far our best player. Runs her socks off every game. Still baffled as to where Lucy Bronze is supposed to be playing. she's classed as a right back but is regularly caught out of position. We might easily have lost tonight.
