Not sure how Buckley's managed to jump the queue ahead of Noone and Wildy (and I'm presuming Ozzy's still not 100%?), but otherwise looking good. Promising that he's put faith in Murphy to start.

I see Ken's displeased with agents taking "consultancy fees" from the club. Uh hu.

Re: Who's going down to League One in 2019? Bolton?

*If* we get Garner, and Waghorn's departure is signed and sealed, then Ipswich are going to be looking a bit brassic goal-wise unless they get some late business in... they'll have lost four players who between them netted 35 times in the Championship last season (Garner, Waghorn, McGoldrick and Cel...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

All but confirmed Wyke is heading to Sunderland:
SUNDERLAND. Wyke fee agreed with Bradford. 500 plus 500. All happy. Subject to terms and medical. Doyle at Preston likeliest replacement on loan.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Myhill's now got a new one-year contract at WBA, so the search for GK back-up/Alnwick competition will be continuing.

Nixon saying yesterday that we're taking a second look at Ireland this week, with his knock cleared up this time...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Not posting this suggesting we'll be in for him (or should be), but it seems as though Zac's pretty much had his chips at Forest - at least while Karanka's in charge.

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

Think it might be best putting this here for now. A Tweet from the BEN Editor: https://twitter.com/KarlDHolbrook/status/1024374778583543809 This must be the stadium naming - Ken said himself it would be announced Wednesday morning - though "surprise announcement" feels a bit of a hyperbole if it's j...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

I'd feel underwhelmed if Hobbs (+Wilson) turns out to be the extent of our business at CB. Injuries to Wheat-Hobbs are going to be pretty inevitable, putting this part of the squad immediately under strain. Would really like to be seeing us adding a younger model. Which is I'm a bit bamboozled by us...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Iles Tweets:
Wanderers have all but wrapped up Magennis. Few little bits to sort. Also hearing fee is lower than predicted down south... A very decent deal.
So sub the £350k mooted.

He also says:
Another one will be sorted Monday.
I'll guess that'll be A. Trialist... Hobbs?

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Confirmed that we are looking to bring Antoneeeeee back on loan. I'm starting to feel a bit better now between this and the Magennis move - think my panic fanny dial has dropped from an 8 to a 7.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Maybe he will not be the player that anybody expecting and his goal record is awful , but for Parkinson he will be important player because his style is what Parkinson looking for strong body and tall and his style is a target man , so if he is not scoring a lot of goal it is okay for Parkinson . In that case I'll start the analysis: would this be to fill ST or GK? :conf:

Re: Ken Anderson - New Owner (Definitely. For Now ..... )

I hate to raise it again, but a mention in MI's piece this morning got me thinking. BluMarble... £4.3m "due" in September. Is it under control? I'm presuming we will not be in a position to pay off that amount. Will KA be able to sweet talk them into an extension? ie. Here's half a mil of interest a...

The game will be a good test for the manager and players as we prepare for the Sky Bet Championship opener against West Brom the following weekend...
