Re: Ex-players you don't expect to bump into

Hawthorns single handedly saved me a fortune in taxi fares as we didn't need to go to Manchester to go to an ok indie/rock club. Used to love it - except for the seemingly unpopular 'dance' segment that went on for an hour before the standard indie fayre was put back on and everyone got up dancing a...

Hawthorns?
That's the sparrow, cheers.
Used to love Hawthorns - wasted many an evening (and brain cell) in there!

Re: Club Rebranding

Ahh, didn't know you could do that!

Looks like bollocks to me - someones taken the home shirt off the club shop and crudely painted on it.

I call shenanigans!

Re: Why Do people Leave early ??

Only once or twice. We left Wembley at Stoke with a couple of minutes to go, seen enough by then and I seem to remember leaving a home match once because I had a prior engagement in the evening that meant I'd better not be late!!

Hang on - if his move to United collapses there won't be any other teams in the premier league would have a punt on him before he'd choose to come to us??

He's called bwfcdan94. I think it might be for a reason.... :D thats because we've had 93 other bwfcdan's on the forum  we've had at least one other. I remember him being very upset when the young whippersnapper came along. I can imagione he did - especially with all the grammatical chaos

Re: Why Do people Leave early ??

Do the people who leave the match early (for traffic reasons) use the same logic at other events also. Would they, for example, go to a Led Zep reunion gig and leave before the encore just to get home a little early? Nice comparison but it falls down somewhat...and in favour of your incredulity. Pl...

Re: What would the world be like if.....

Don't think we'd have faired much better than last season to be honest. Don't see much in this squad (which Coyles did say was the one he would have wanted if we'd stayed up - although that could be bluff & bluster) to suggest we'd be ripping up trees. The soft underbelly would still be there!

Re: Sordell ... what's the point ?

if Afobe wasn't getting in and Sordell was - then I reckon there'd be a clamour on here saying "why did we use up a loan spot on a striker he never plays" - and folk would be reminding us week by week as he wasn't picked that he scored a hat-trick in the pre-season and looked well-ace... It's a fai...

Re: Sordell ... what's the point ?

Okay, my main concern here is more with Afobe getting in. The reason it concerns me is that I worry Coyle is playing him ahead of our own player to impress Wenger (or more pertinatley any premier league manager) that if you loan us a young player he will get playing time. I think he could be trying ...

Re: Football Kit Collections

Question about the Arsenal ones, do they have the Adidas stripes but no logo? I thought the stripes were trademarked too. Sadly I don't think the club (and possibly the manufacturers) will see a big enough demand to do anything like that! Yes the Adidas stripes are also trademarked. If you look at ...

Re: Football Kit Collections

Ta - so, as you say, it must be doable if demand exists. But it probably doesn't. Actually, just looking at the Arsenal and Liverpool 'Retro' ranges in their online stores and whilst all of the kits have the authentic badges of the time, none of them have the kit manufacturers logo on them. So perh...

Re: Football Kit Collections

Those tracky tops are awesome!! I wonder if adidas have any plans to bring out a retro style tracksuit top? I think they'd sell like hot cakes! I dont think Umbro would be happy ! I meant an Adidas one, plain track top with 3 stripes and the bolton badge! Don't think we'll ever see the Umbro one. C...
