Bench, Paying through the nose is said to originate from popular folklore, which says that phrase dates back to 9th century Ireland. Viking raiders would demand tribute from the local Irish and slit open the noses of anyone who refused to pay. I do not know whether not Vikings were among the first t...

So is Diuof all we can afford then? Is that your big signing. Cos we need some fillers to cope with the number of games this season. You know, if we were to sign a Two Time African Player of the Year with a track record as good as Dioufy's it would be our big signing. But considering he's just been...

Natasha, Don't worry too much. Those 'fantastic' observations are usually misunderstood. Like a West Ham fan proclaiming his team to be champions league contenders, the words stick in your mind and many don't like to believe them. True or not they're a different way of seeing things and its against ...

http://www.expat.or.id/cards/cards/housewife.JPG Aye, thats often as demanding as a job. With kids and stuff its even more demanding because of the sporatic hours they're expected to look after the kids. Your pretty much in the same position. You want relief from the under the thumb and you find it...

Plodder, Thats an easy one. Its no real effort in replying because there's not too much being asked. But basically its a nice way to put a funny spin on random questions while at the same time helping people with proper problems, whenever people decide to ask. Bench, Bill Cosby is allegedly guilty o...

Ratbert, Existence is derived from observation and experience. There is nothing to prove that anything else other than yourself exists. When you see someone walking down the street, theres nothing that tells you this person being there is an absolute truth. For all you know, you could be a thought i...

Enzo, I know your plight all too well. I don't know what it is to make a TV program get a rise out of someone enough to literally want to be aggressive towards someone, but theres a few that do it for me. Knight and Riley, Michael Howard (why can't the tories put in a decent leader!) and that silly ...

Mof, it seems you need something to seperate yourself from the attachment to the problem before you end up like this fine gentleman.. http://img189.echo.cx/img189/5996/drunksantajpg6ji.jpg Heres what I suggest you do (in no particular order): Start a cult following, yep, its easy, fun and you can re...

Afternoon, I was just wondering if anyone would be so kind as to offer some words of wisdom to your beloved TZK? Without going into too many details, you never know who is reading this, I am in a bit of a predicament. I recently started a new job and have found myself romantically involved with a g...

Billy, I too often have trouble with inconsistency in bowling mainly. I can drill the ball down the exact same spot for most of the time too get strikes or leave the one pin standing, yet the inconsistency is the grimmest thing as you know you can do something and get it almost perfected for the mos...

Bench, Yes, they can theoretically dream of sheep (according to Hans Moravec. Director, Robotics Institute, Carnegie-Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA. ). You see there are a number of different android types, the first is where robots rely totally on human programming (your typical program), the s...

Bench, The best curry house I can point you to is the Pavilion on the way to Bromley Cross near that Asda which is on Blackburn road. They do a superb Chicken Methi with Pashwari Naan's. Service is pretty good aswell. Worth a try at least, i'm not too sure how far out of the way you're willing to go...
