Thank you so much to you all for taking the time to give us some suggestions - they look absolutely fab. The view in Affetside was exactly what I had in mind, and I do love those little turrets, would be great to get some photos at the top as you suggest!! We definitely need to have a drive around,...

Sure I am, yet to meet someone who does not like them and all seem to really like them...passionately too :) Not idea what the Spinal tap reference in the previous post means :) They had speakers went up to 11. The 'documentary maker' asked why they didn't buy normal speakers (which went up to 10) ...

I can't see this anywhere else so I thought I'd post my amazement at the news Spurs are set to have a different sponsor for each compettition this season. 'Excellent' you may think. 'What a fantastic revenue stream they will have for next season' Or, like me you may think what a cynical marketing pl...

Can't listen to it at work so I'll check it later. Incidentally, why is he wearing what looks like a Wolves shirt under his tracky-top? Possibly one he swopped with his England team mate, Billy Wright? For a couple of seasons it was our second shirt in case of clashes, no such things as an"away shi...

My Holiday bookies: Douglas Adams- Hitchhikers and Restaurant: Not read these two since I was a kid, but blasted through them both in about 6 hours altogether, absolutely wonderful. These should be in all schools. Fun reading at it's best. Am I the only person who does not get these books, tried Hi...

Rock Gardens in Moss Bank Park (where we had some of ours done) Has that place been cleaned up recently? I went past a while ago and it was totally overgrown and looking pretty sorry for itself which is a shame, our classes used to go there a lot when I was at Church Road Primary it was always kept...

Courtesy of a Bruce mention in another tread, Mountain and Nantucket Sleighride . Like it muchly, and I'll be looking for more tonight, despite it being a blast from the past. There's a 'best of' banging around TD, which includes some live stuff. Their studio work is immense and encourage yo...

You can still find great stuff which has been around 40 years Tango . That's the beauty of music. Give a fw of Mountain's stuff a listen & you'll be impressed. Anyone who likes blues should then give Leslie West's solo stuff an ear. Most of the stuff I like has been around for forty years Bobo. :mr...

So, a Mod on Burnden Aces but not on here? Just wanted that clear in my head. I was a mod on here for a brief time - but have not been for while time now. Clearly the poster Dutch Amos is connected to the Burnden Aces site and was (is?) posting here for a laugh to amuse those in on the joke back on...
