Re: Lennon announced on Offish site
Gamble by Gartside. Bit of an unknown quantity really in england. He also gambled on Freedman, choosing him over more established managers. We shall see.
My worry is he strikes me as a bit shouty and angry if it isnt going his way. And it wont at first.

Re: Freedman gone
Narr cos it was a mutual consent job - not like when megson went. Means dougie is keen to get back into it. I think he needs a david moyes holiday!

Re: Problems with Gartside
Given our comparison is (reasonably enough imo) wigan how do our agent fee spendings compare? They have been publishing those figures for a while?
I'm quite anti Gartside in terms of his running of the club, but is he really any more 'crooked' than his counterparts?

Re: Problems with Gartside
Yep. It were our fault. We treated dougie unfairly. Next man has to carry on dougies unfinished business (taking us down to league 1?).
feck off gartside.

Re: Problems with Gartside
Mainly its his inability to pick a good football manager. Cant bear the thought of another left wing appointment because he thinks he knows football better than me. The megsons agent choosing megson episode as well. Lying in court doesn't endear him to me. The debt will be interesting. We have nothi...

Reading possibly. I'm not sure. Coyle were obvious - swansea away; megson when it became untenable...lee...? Should never have been appointed.Hoboh wrote:He should have gone 259 pages earlier!

Re: Rumour has it.............
Shame if true. Out of all our young lads vela looked the most competent, earliest. Still dougie is gone soon and hopefully will take freeloaders like garvan and trotter with him. The fecking obsession with centre mids that has blocked vela getting in the side has been ridiculous.

This is his team. And he's had more cash than a lot of other managers to mould it.
If he doesn't go tomorrow gartsides got a death wish and eddie...fcuk he might actually be dead! Why would he not see the risk otherwise?

Looks like last throw of the dice that. Boldest thing he has ever done.
Am at 'will take the defeat to get him put' stage (note - not wanting us to lose) so keeping my fingers crossed that truly was his last throw of the dice.
Take gartside with you.

Aaaah.
