Re: Tonight's Football
Arsenal women have sold 35k tickets for their match at The Emirates against Chelsea in a few weeks time. Cheaper then the mens tickets, yes (£12 adults, £6 children) but an encouraging legacy from the euros of the interest there is in womens football.

Re: Tonight's Football
Was sorry to hear Mark Overmars has had a stroke. Great player and used to torment our full backs when he played as a left winger fo the Gunners. Wish him well and a speedy recovery. Sounds like it was fairly minor, hope so anyway. Memories of him tormenting Bolton full backs remain a happy memory ...

That’s frustrating, from someone who’s received blood transfusions I thank you - I’m not allowed to donate because of receiving, but I did donate breast milk. Probably not an option for you.

Re: Tonight's Football
Well another game last night and another win for Arsenal! Can hardly believe myself how well we have been doing so far this season, long way to go but I’m hoping 2023 is our year! Although I won't be putting any money on it, I have a sneaky feeling that Newcastle are about to spring you a surprise ...

Re: The athletics/running thread
Anyone got any sport related New Years resolutions then?! Last year was one of my worst for getting out running in ages. I’d like to say this year will be better but motivation is seriously lacking! I may join the leisure centre and get to some fitness classes instead!

Re: The athletics/running thread
A month on and not much changed. Missed Knutsford but managed Leeds Abbey Dash (in Biblical conditions I may add) but am now having trouble with the other leg. Pulled up short on a run last night. Hope I can sort it for the weekend when I'm up for a 5km race in Bromley Cross. Anybody else getting o...

Re: The athletics/running thread
Mojo has well and truly upped and done one! Just been to Rammy. Felt both guilty and deflated seeing all the 'Impending Road Closure' signs out for this Sunday's Bury 10K. In the New Year, Boyo, we HAVE to make a start on the long road back. If you want me to put a training programme together, incl...

Re: Diving Arsenal Players - The Least Shocking Admission Ever
Well I am a happy gooner tonight. Spending Christmas 5 points clear of City at the top of the league is not what I thought would happen in August. Do I think we will win it? No. But I sure as heck am enjoying the ride with this team of young likeable players full of potential.

Re: The Big Shiny World Cup thread
I struggle to enjoy international football at the best of times, never mind when it’s rudely interrupting some very enjoyable club football (if you’re an arsenal fan) at the moment. As for all the dubious ethics, corruption, death, money surrounding it… :? Think it’s safe to say the womens euros wil...

Re: Your England XI
I have no particular axe to grind with Southgate, but he really doesn't do himself any favours. At today's press conference he pointed to current form as being a key factor in deciding his final squad for the World Cup. I mean, amen to that - we kick off in 10 day's time. However, this was after th...

Meant to post this on Saturday but I still can't put pictures up on here. We watched the match last Saturday via the Platinum Suite. A treat for my 89 year old father in law, a season ticket holder for donkeys years, but ill health and caring for his late wife means he'd not been to a match in near...

My nieces birthday party. 90’s themed. Had to raid my teenage Arsenal shirt collection but quite proud to find one to fit everyone! What a decade that was!

Re: The Politics Thread
I thought I couldn't be any more worried about our country's future but then watching some of the news coverage last night and this morning, proved me wrong. The number of seemingly rational people who said "Bring back Boris" was quite distressing. "I know he's a proven liar, cheat, bumbling, works...
