Re: The Politics Thread

I see BoJo's just been for a visit to Jenny's chippy on Tonge Moor Road.

The red wall charm offensive has begun it seems.

One of the most incredible, practically absurd things about us currently is that despite playing as centre-backs Jones and Johnston still have the opportunity to advance forward to a ridiculous extent. Evatt wasn't the first manager to play overlapping centre-backs and it isn't the first time he's t...

Well we made hard work of it at times, but you can’t complain with a solid 2-0 win (is it me or is 2-0 the most satisfying winning scoreline in football?) I think Charles is turning into everyone’s favourite player - has pace, work ethic, good feet, vision and a real desire to make something happen...

That first half was - perhaps unsurprisingly given both clubs are still under the same management - very reminiscent of the first half of last season's home fixture. I thought exactly the same. Hopefully the 2nd half result from that game isn’t repeated… Indeed. I could really do without us clingin...

Re: Which signing excites you most?

I think it might be Morley, if only because I suspect he might have the highest ceiling. It's very difficult to choose, though. I do really like Fossey but until he signs a permanent contract my excitment will be tempered.

Re: The Politics Thread

Oh course it could Nicholado (argued implication) - so three days later maybe a retraction that no bugger would notice? But I'm not sure it's the speakers job to immediately judge "lies" - because there are so many things said that are in grey areas in between lies and truth... Yes, I agree. I have...

Re: The Politics Thread

Why anyone would care about performance over integrity is beyond me. Have you been looking at our electorate, recently? Well yes. But Starmer enjoys best PM leads over Johnson that haven’t been seen by a LOTO since Blair in 1997…. So whilst there are a lot of weird people out there….I have to think...

I see Wordle's now been sold to the New York Times, who have stated the game will "initially remain free to play".

Sigh.

Anyone else struggling to get on the forum at times recently - or finding themselves signed out when trying to post sometimes? Or is that just me?! No, it's not just you. Re: The Politics Thread

I'm not sure it's particularly extreme. I have no regard for Johnson or his loathsome government, but is this really worse than the "dodgy dossier", cash for honours, etc.? Perhaps it's the sheer number of scandals that's unprecedented. I mean here we have a PM repeatedly break the rules he himself...
