Re: Wandering, Why come back home? Bolton v Wycombe - 13th Feb 2024 19:45pm

We're clearly not firing on all cylinders but last night we were missing our sweeper-keeper, our skipper and our midfield lynchpin, while our star striker continues to try to fight his way out of a rut. Considering that, we did well to win. Hopefully it gives us the confidence to do so again on Sat...

Re: Wandering, Why come back home? Bolton v Wycombe - 13th Feb 2024 19:45pm

Poor game in a run of poor games. I'm delighted we won, but we're not looking in good shape on the pitch at the minute. Predictable, ponderous and to be honest, really feckin boring. I think Evatt has done and is continuing to do, a wonderful job for us but I just feel like we need a change of shap...

Re: Wandering, Why come back home? Bolton v Wycombe - 13th Feb 2024 19:45pm

There's a player in Ogbetta I'm sure, but a defender he is not. Don't think he won a single duel that half and constantly out of position.

Much better going forward mind

2-0 to us. Early goal from Jones, comfortable controlling middle of the game. Late Collins winner

Re: Wandering, Why come back home? Bolton v Wycombe - 13th Feb 2024 19:45pm

We need two wins from two home games. Is where I am at! Baxter Jones/Toal/Iredale Dacres Cog / Ashworth Sheehan/Morley/Carlos Collins/Dion Would be my team. Yeah I like this team. Victor has definitely run out of chances for me for now. Taylor looks a bit lost. I'm not sure I'd through Carlos in as...

Re: A Load of Cobblers. Away to Northampton Sat, 10th Feb.3-0'clock.

We ain’t getting anything out of this. Another Evatt mini slump. Tuesday will be critical now. Running out of any slack. ....apart from a credible draw given the circumstances!! Great battling performance 2nd half and unlucky not to nick it I thought. Not blaming him, but referee one of the worst I...

I thank you. Courtesy of a free online AI image generator. Couldn't get it to be wearing a Bolton kit sadly, but thought that would do.....

Re: A Load of Cobblers. Away to Northampton Sat, 10th Feb.3-0'clock.

Just as long as we score one more than them, that will do, preferably with us keeping a clean sheet. We've managed over injuries, internationals and January and come out okay. Bring em on... :oyea: :oyea: ae:) ae:) Be nice to not only keep a clean sheet, but to avoid Baxter having to make a save, s...

What if Coleman wasn't on the bench at the weekend due to injury? Goes to leg it out the room* LOL Maybe Evatt will play "flying netters" Are they butterfly hunters? :D See - that one occurred to me, too, from a perspective that I thought (but not 100% sure) we'd come to the conclusion that Thomo w...

Re: There's a Moose loose about these U's, Cambridge United Away 6th Feb 2024

But more importantly for you, Vic is Vic and he seems to be bearing the brunt of your current attacks on the team. Even if the stats were reversed you'd still be peddling cr@p to justify why Dion is better......

I like Ashworth. I hope we sign him in the summer, assuming he’s over the injuries. 100%. Reckon there's a cracking player in there. He took a bit of a kicking today, but good to see him standing up for himself too. Also big shout out to Iredale - in the 2nd half there was a bit of handbags between...

Trouble is, you don't think Vic is very good at all. Or Santos. Or most of the rest of the team at one point or another

Yet somehow we're in pole position for the league and have just come out of a record-breaking year.....

Re: Alas poor Yor(i)k, I knew it well. Home v Barnsley, Sat Feb 3rd, 3-0' clock.

I think the result was better for us than Barnsley given they could and should have been 4-0 up before we scored. Taylor clearly not fit yet and went down with cramp. As some wag mentioned someone should check Sheehan’s betting slips tonight as he tried his best to get assist after assist for Barns...

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

That's a cracking signing. Big statement there - to us fans, and to our competition.....

2 quality wing-backs & a proven striker in.

If you take the bad luck of recent centre-half injuries out of it, even the most sceptical of complainers surely must be happy with that?

Re: Who opened the door? My money is on Janus! 2024 January transfer thread.

What this all shows though is that this lot know a player. These are intelligent, targeted bits of recruitment that fit into a proper model. Ogbeta is spot on, in terms of profile (doesn't guarantee anything, but it's still meaningful) and Collins would be another in the mould. And that's before I ...

Yes to all this. Quality replacements will always be welcome, but there's a sense that the existing bunch are pulling tighter together to see us through the current difficult patch (in terms of absentees/fixture congestion etc). Love all those videos posted above - amazing how Oggy seems to be welco...

Re: Backs to Hadrian's Wall...Down to Bare Bones Away at Carlisle - Sat, 27th Jan. 3pm

I wasn't getting off that couch to comment till it was done. 4-1 sounds dominant, but it was deserved. Carlisle weren't so hot, but they didn't lie down all game. All in all, great win. Love the look of the new lad, but Sheehan was M.O.T.M for me. :oyea: :oyea: :oyea: :oyea: Thanks for the Couch ag...
