Re: Technology Thread.
Unlike some here, I am into everything Apple. I have had an iphone since the 3 and last November upgraded to a 6S Plus. Two weeks ago my phone finally started doing something that makes me go 'WTF?" Every time I get in my car, and with my phone on standby with a darkened screen, it will inform me ho...

Its a good 10-15yrs ago now since I read any fantasy, but I was big into it at one time. I could never get into the Covenant books although I tried several times. Instead I would recommend the Raymond Feist Magician set of books known as the Riftwar Saga, and they started as a trilogy and ended up a...

Re: Auto Renewal - Who Is and Who Isn't?
My word, they are cutting back! Remember the large and very glossy brochures we've had selling us season tickets since the premiership days? None of that now. I just got a letter, double sided and in colour but still a one page letter. For info the deadline for reduced prices is 12th June, east and ...

My old iMac, bought in late 2009, was still running perfectly but the software I am running now (mainly Adobe) is far more demanding and the photo files are much bigger than they were back then. Consequently I've just been into Apple and ordered a new 4.2ghz 27" iMac with 16gb memory, 4gb video card...

Started series 2 of Bosch starring Titus Welliver. Decent first episode. Love the books and really enjoyed series 1. We finished S2 just yesterday. You'll be pleased to know it retains that high standard throughout. Great stuff. I heard someone describe it as 'What True Detective should have been.'...

Very kind of you, Spursmurph, you're a good lad. This has been inevitable all season with this shower we've had to put up with. I'm not hurting tonight like twilight, I've seen it all before and I did my mourning months ago. We'll be back, but I fear it won't be any time soon and already I can only ...

Angela Merkel arrives at Passport Control in Heathrow.
"Nationality?" asks the immigration officer.
"German," she replies.
"Occupation?"
"No, just here for a few days."

^ I like that a lot. Got movement in it in all the right places. Reminds me of the heavy horses on the beach beneath Black Combe.

Yeah, I'll be there, but I had to think about it. Another couple of seasons and I'm a concession. Not missing that (touch wood).

^ Heard about that on R5 this morning. Another silly name suggested is Usain Boat.
There was another invitation a while back to name an owl somewhere or other and the winner was Hooty McOwl Face.
The great British public!

You have my sympathy, Clappers - sounds like she had a difficult life. RIP. Thanks everybody, much appreciated. She had a great life, Monty. Was happy, was free, was independent, well capable of looking after herself, loved her music, loved life. It was only this last 12 months or so that she chang...

Re: The End is Nigh - Preston (H) 12 Mar @ 15:00
Travelled to the game with a Preston fan who lives near me in Leeds and who said he thought we looked shit scared whnever pressed and gave the ball away cheaply. Not a bad judge. Spot on. As soon as we scored I thought to myself, "there's only one winner now!" Has anyone mentioned the half time dra...
