I think it was his way of showing the travelling Hull fans he wasnt standing for the players not turning up for the game when most Hull fans had spent Christmas day sorting travel for the game etc.. Don't fall into the Elite being better trap, they are just as noisy and just as prone to dying. Like all 360's, some of them are good and make little noise, some are not.
