Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

A GK curveball certainly seems to have been thrown at us last night. With Amos already away and the Turner loan presumably in the works for a week or more, you've got to think Walker signing was seen as a formality. Clearly not. :( I Trust PP/DL to do what's right by Turner, and if that means game t...

Re: Pre-Season Fixtures 2018

Doesn't matter what position Darby was playing, it's the fact he was playing at all that concerns me...I know these are pre-season games and all the players need to get match fit, but it worries me that he's anywhere near our 1st team. Just hope he's not in the 1st team squad against West Brom I'm ...

Ozzy supposedly drags players up the pitch.
Reading that first time round I saw "drugs players up the pitch". Gotta catch the oppo's defense napping one way or the other. :D

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

£1m for Beevers would be terrific for us right now, imo. I meant to post something about him off the back of the mention Nixon gave him in his Sunday column. I Would have added that I'd be in favour of a sale, on the basis that the £300k or so we might get for him would perhaps help towards securing...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

With the fees for those two reportedly being £1m+ each, you've got to think Wyke would be value for the £750k Bradford will apparently accept. Very doubtful it'll be us getting him tho.

According to Iles, Ireland trained with the team yesterday but didn't play today, because calf injury. :|

Re: Pre-Season Fixtures 2018

Looks like a decent shift and performance was had, simply going off Twitter and MI's coverage. Sounds as though Noone was quite lively, Vela was up for it, and Little had a couple of good attacking plays down the wing in the second half. I have to say I'm a fan of Litts... more so going forward and ...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Lee Anderson Tweeted "eyes on me late eve". Would normally suggest a signing today, probably after the game this afternoon. Ireland perhaps? Even by his p***k-teasing standards, he'd normally point to the official account if there was going to be an announcement. Maybe they're planning to sign one ...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

what with being a bit busy just now I didn't know we'd signed anybody, yet Isles is saying that this Dutch fella's our fifth signing. Can someone do me a favour and point me in the direction of who we've signed and what it is that they do please? Very much obliged. Just to add to the full brief you...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Nixon's just Tweeted on us being just about there with Wildschut: "Wigan unable to match terms." !!!!!!

I think I'm going to faint.

Agree, would definitely be a quality loan.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

A little tucked away in his Twitter replies, MI said yesterday, in response to whether CYL was likely to be back: I think @superagent73 said there would be work permit issues in the Championship, so it's a no-go. Shame. Would have been lovely to see him back. https://twitter.com/MarcIles/status/1019...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Club statement: https://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/2018/july/club-statement/ Bare bones, but they wanted it out of the way and it is. Phrasing the players and club as different entities was poor, but that's just PR stuff. Would have looked better if there was more "we" and they spoke about "the board" and...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

^ Could be a decent acquisition. A follow up piece on the Teixeira deal suggests Porto are after less than 150k for us to take him permanently, but we'd prefer to loan. Suppose wages could be a factor behind the thinking, but for that sort of price it's shirley an investment opportunity? htt...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Small morsel on Nixon's Twitter.

Q: Anything new on Rodwell and Wyke?
Nixon: Agreeing a Wyke fee will be a challenge. Rodwell was down last week for a chat despite the unsurprising denials.
