Re: Not a Leap Year, who says so? Away to Reading , Sat, Feb 1st 3-0'clock.

I get that. I just liked it for itself. An acknowledgment it was good to get forward quickly. Aye, but I think a lot of people chanting "Sideways and backwards, not anymore" might be disappointed by Schumacher's approach play at times - once he's got his team how he wants it. I don't expect us to a...

Re: Not a Leap Year, who says so? Away to Reading , Sat, Feb 1st 3-0'clock.

I liked the reference to not needing twenty or thirty passes. On that pitch there's no way to play Evattball or anything like it. We passed when we could, but you could see from Collins starting to seal-dribble away from defenders that it wasn't an afternoon for finesse. Same reason Randall struggl...

Schumacher hitches his wagon to Etete and hugely positive about the performance. Good good.

It was a midfield two for most of the game.

Yeah, Randall notably further forward.

A mention to each of the back three, who I thought were tremendous and are really benefitting from our shift away from Evattball.

The upturn in Johnston's form is incredible and Forrester just feels a natural fit in the middle.

Re: Not a Leap Year, who says so? Away to Reading , Sat, Feb 1st 3-0'clock.

It was a big improvement on our previous performances away from home (obviously excepting last Saturday). The other side of it, though, is that we still too often turned over possession in dangerous areas, and I'm sure Schumacher will look to address that. Obviously, it wouldn't have mattered today ...

Lacking in quality but I've enjoyed the back and forth nature, even if it might be more open than we'd like.

We should probably be winning and I'm not sure about our midfield, though.

Any fringe lads at Plymouth or Stoke he might bag?

Andre Vidigal was in Schuey's team but isn't in Robins'.

I don't know if a loan deal might be a possibility.

Re: Who's the Rioch to Evatt's Neal?

We're talking like it's a done deal. Is it a done deal?? I think most newly appointed managers these days are given a script to follow by the media team with some key points. If.....IF we get an announcement, I'm betting "18000 ST holders for a League one club" and "JJ Okocha" come into the mix. I ...

Re: Who's the Rioch to Evatt's Neal?

Yeah, he's a youth team coach who's stepped up to help in a moment of need.

I don't think we need to complicated matters by trying to accommodate him into a role he - and possibly also our new manager - doesn't want.

Re: Who's the Rioch to Evatt's Neal?

I do remember it took an age to get the Evatt deal done, although I think that was mainly due to agreeing the compensation owed to Barrow (and I think it was, in relative terms, quite a minor figure).

Re: Who's the Rioch to Evatt's Neal?

Wycombe have been without a manager a week longer than us and still haven't appointed, so these things can take time. I was well up and prepared for Schumacher and there'll be disappointment now if it's not him but just got to trust the process. They have but that's because they identified thier ma...
