It was a race to the bottom and by gaining just the draw from it we won the race. Instead of 22nd we remain 24th. I see absolutely no reason to believe this will change anytime soon. I also don't get why 'stability' and keeping Parkinson are any kind of priority - we should be like Sheffield United...

From my perspective from the armchair, it's getting a bit predictable now. It'll be interesting to see how long this goes on for with the new ownership after the previous ownership having been always slow to act.

You realise there is a fairly strong correlation between spending on wages and success? Clearly every so often you can buck that trend, as we did initially under Allardyce. But you will be fighting against it and long term it will catch up with you. I'm saying this to be corrected by a wiser member...
