Ok
So, name me a keeper.and RWB who we could have signed (affordable/attainable).
Genuine question - who out there could we have signed that wouldn't be have satisfied the hunger for improvement, but we chose not to and lost out on?

Re: A Storm Brewing. Burton Albion V Bolton, Saturday Aug 26th 3 0'Clock,.
Don't disagree with most of that to be fair, although I do think we need to overlay the criticism with a dose of realism. Replacing one of the brightest young talents in goal was also going to be virtually impossible, so yes, we are probably weaker there. However, Baxter is a good keeper. It's possi...

Re: A Storm Brewing. Burton Albion V Bolton, Saturday Aug 26th 3 0'Clock,.
Keeper is poor, good shot stopper but he's got nothing else. Iredale is shit, I thought he was decent before his injury but unless he dramatically improves he's just awful. Both fullbacks are exceptionally average, we're asking the world of them and neither can deliver anything close. Dempsey back ...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30
Psychological? my arse. Too fcking soft when up against it. Well yes. Though some of it is mentality. Santos yesterday instead of rising to the fight of Wyke waved his arms round and basically gave up. Not just the example but he never got into the team to rally them as I’d hope a captain would. Sh...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30
Ok. I know our aim is promotion, but it's also not a god given right either. There's half a dozen teams in our league who also have the aim of promotion, and we can't all get it, so some will fall short. If we're one of them, so be it. It's not that long ago we were facing having no club. For me, if...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30
See, I do honestly get all that. Todays performance stank. There's no denying it - and trust me, I'm not denying it. My issue is , 1 bad performance seems to completely and irrationally undo all of the previous really good ones in some people's minds. People talk of the same issues being around for ...

Re: Match Thread: Pasties and Pies - A Tasty affair! Bolton v Wigan (H) - Saturday 19th Aug / 12.30
Agreed. Although I do think some fans need to grow up and get over the fact it's a derby (or not given the previous discussions). It's either a win, draw or loss at the end of the day. We are judged at the end of the season on where we are in the league, not on head to heads against rivals (or not).

On the plus side, all the rest of the teams on 9 points lost, so we're still up there near the top. Had we conceded one goal fewer, we'd be top Ah. So they must all be shite as well right? Assume all of their collective players are either soft/bottlers/crap/lightweight/simply not good enough? And t...

Oh give over., Please It is abad day at the office. A shockingly bad day, but a bad day no less. All teams have them, and we'll have a few more. It's football. That was not our finest hour. I paid a tenner on top of the price of my season ticket for the "pleasure" of watching it whilst on my Jolie's...

Well this puts a different complexion on the transfer window now. Anyone fancy Morley and Sheehan? Anyone? No it doesn't. We've still won 4 out of 5 this season. If you'd offered us that at the start we'd have all taken it. A bad day at the office on the back of 4 good ones. It'll be reet It’s a ha...

Weird half of football that. Watching on wanderers TV whilst on hols (really decent coverage by the way...) We don't look that bad at all, and they don't look much better.
We're up on the majority of the stats they're cycling through at half time, apart from the only one that counts sadly...

Re: North by North West..Bolton v Fleetwood Tues 15th Aug 7-45.
You've consistently said we need a first choice RWB and JDC is cover haven't you? (& apols if not & I've got my wires crossed). I don't see why he can't be 1st choice. He's barely put a foot wrong in a white shirt so far. The fact that we don't yet seem to missing Bradley at all - player of the year...

JDC plays the full 95 mins... Amazing. Not only that, a brilliant 95 minutes. Forwards and backwards, just great. Forwards yes. Backwards….ok I guess but not brilliant. Jesus effing Christ. The guy was incredible tonight - he's played virtually every minute of pre-season and the season so far and h...

Re: Shirty McShirtface: Help pick the Wanderers' kits for next season
Superb of the club to listen.
I'd be happy with either 1 or 2 (and 3 was the least worst of the old choices...). Nice to see the little bits of red returning on the first 2 choices now though (something lacking from the current home kit)
