Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Seems like one is indeed coming in, tho. Have double checked and Obasi's signed for Elfsborg, so it's not going to be Plan H, we know that much anyway.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

West Ham's Reece Oxford is back in the shop window (loans department) after signing a new deal at West Ham. Was at Monchengladbach last season. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6083599/West-Ham-hoping-send-Reece-Oxford-season-long-loan.html We're interested if you take this Tweet at...

my guess is that this is going to be 4-3-2-1 with O'Neil and Lowe on proper DM duties, giving Wildy and Oz in particular the freedom to 'ave some.

This is gonna be good. 5-2! 8)

Everyone still hoping for 4th from bottom, or can we get a bit carried away for a couple of days?
20th definitely in our sights now, imo. :oyea:

Lordy, is this actually happening? Just had a look back... last season we didn't pass the 7 point mark until the 4th of November!!!

Cracking goal too.

Don't know what else to say. Amazing. :pissed:

PS. Agreed - PP out.

Re: Carabao Yorks Nightmare. Leeds (A) 14/08/18

Looks good to me. Am guessing the "debate" part might be Alf being completely AWOL? I'm guessing Wheats isn't in there simply because best thing for him his to be completed rested? Great that Hall starts, tho. Why not. Are we actually playing 4-4-f*cking-2 btw?! Matthews Litts-Hobbs-Wilson-Grounds O...

will we find significant amounts being bled off as things like "finders fees" and the like.
Until Remi came in, he wasn't very good at finders keepers.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Decent signing Grounds by the sounds of it - looking forward to seeing him play tomorrow night. Pritchard? Is he one of the new U23s? Stephen Darby will hopefully be nowhere near the team. Think Hobbs will play. What about Wilson and Donaldson - are they fit? Le Fondre will start as well I expect. ...

"Think we should of kept him" "Good luck Groundsy, was class last season" "Really do not understand why he has left Blues." "I dont care what anyone said he was a great servant to the club and was a decent l...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread

Robinson gave us the pace and attacking outlet at LB that Taylor couldn't, while Taylor gave us solid, workmanlike defensiveness that Robinson couldn't (at times). Sounds like Grounds is more towards the Taylor side of the scale so arguably we're missing that Robinson-type outlet, but nevertheless d...

Re: Carabao Yorks Nightmare. Leeds (A) 14/08/18

Think we'll see changes but still field a decent team. Litts in for Olk. Might even put Litts RW in a 4-5-1 to rest Noone, sticking Darby at RB?? Hobbs in for Wheats. Alf in for Magic-ennis O'Neil possibly getting a start. Pritchard and Wilson to see a sniff of the ball at some point. And insipid fi...

^ Yes. The Saudi lot ended up going for someone else, iirc, while at least two if not all three of the others (think he said four in total at one point) couldn't prove they had the mullah. In one case it appears that zeros were added to a bank statement using Microsoft Paint and he was going get the...

That's time gentlemen, and concludes the worst deadline day in living memory. In terms of numbers, it's true that it can't be anything other than equal worst. But it's only one day. Appreciate we've obviously tried for a couple (or a few) and come up short, but given our finances that's to be expec...

Interesting we're getting another friendly in. Finally getting to see what Ireland's capable of will be good. Wilson, Murphy and probably a few of the youngsters getting some game time also a plus.
