Re: Carpe Diem....Versus Derby County at the Unibol, Sat 29th Sept.
Terrific win and 3 points I don't think anyone expected. Without wanting to sound too much like Ken Anderson, hopefully this victory encourages more fans to show up for the derby next weekend.
Sounds like Hobbs has been excellent the past couple of games, so does he now go into our best XI?

Unable to watch the game yesterday but really encouraged by what I've read on here this morning. Especially pleased to hear that the boy Williams impressed, just a shame he's not ours!

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
I didn't want ALF to go (still smarting from that one, as it's becoming clearer that we're not going to find an adequate replacement this window), don't want Vela to leave, but Beevers? Not sure about that one. He puts some great blocks in, and Hobbes - as good as he might be - has a terrible injur...

Re: Bolton Under 23's the Champs.
Does anyone on here with contacts at the club have any insight into which of our youth players are considered the brightest prospects? Based on the limited info you get from match reports it sounds as though Navarro, Politic, Connell, Turner and obviously Hall seem to be the most prominent players i...

Re: Bolton Under 23's the Champs.
Another victory for the U23s last night, this time against Coventry. Connor Hall on the score sheet once more, with rumours swirling that he will be loaned out this week should we succeed in bringing in a senior striker.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
We surely need another striker? If Magennis were to get injured our only option would be Donaldson, given that Hall has shown himself not to be ready. Even assuming Magennis stays fit we could really do with a different striking option for the bench.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
If we go off gossip then both Beevers and Vela are likely to leave before the deadline. If that were to happen, the club had better know what they're doing and have replacements lined up in advance. Really??? Seems highly unlikely to me. Iles said this morning that there 'could' be some incomings w...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Insane? had a good description of Vela, premiership athlete, league 1 skills. If he wasn't local he'd be long gone. If someone's offering something decent we'd be fools not to take it. What's 'something decent'? Unless we're talking £5m+ I think it would be absolute madness to sell now. ' You might...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Not sure how anyone would see losing Vela as a good thing, given how much we need his energy in midfield. He's not the most talented midfielder ever, but he's a better footballer than Pratley and he does that job better. We've nobody else in the squad who can do it. what about Williams? He seems to...

Surely even Ken wouldn't think that Cardiff would accept a £5.1m loss on their investment in 8 months.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Sun Aug 26, 2018 2:10 pmIdly wondering if the £900,000 offer was for Gary Madine. Interesting that he was in the stands in midweek.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
Nixon suggesting a few clubs are sniffing around Vela. I'd guess quite a large percentage of our fans wouldn't be too concerned with Josh leaving at present, but he strikes me as someone who could blossom in another team and come back to haunt us.

West Ham's Reece Oxford is back in the shop window (loans department) after signing a new deal at West Ham. Was at Monchengladbach last season. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6083599/West-Ham-hoping-send-Reece-Oxford-season-long-loan.html We're interested if you take this Tweet a...

Some of these lads we've picked up this summer must have already become fairly valuable assets. In terms of resale value, Magennis would be £1m+, Lowe £1m+, Olkowski maybe £2m. Credit where it's due to our recruitment team.

100% away record! Haven't been behind all season. We're going up*! *We may not be going up but f*ck enjoy this while it lasts! Aye, I think I'd probably prefer an attainable top half finish for the season as a target and keep building both team and finances. If, by some miracle, we did go up, all t...

Assuming Sammy isn't fit to start I think it'll be the same team as last week, possibly Oz for Murphy but unlikely. P.P seems to be a bit cagey as to whether Sammi will figure? Not sure if this is gamesmanship or whether Sammi will show. He seems to have been training in some fashion. We sure don't...

Re: Carabao Yorks Nightmare. Leeds (A) 14/08/18
I mean, you could be right. Need more of a look at Pawel. Yeah lets judge him over a longer period as I'll be surprised if he keeps this form up. If he does then we'll struggle to keep him! If we're in a position where other clubs want to pay us lots of money for him then that's perfectly fine. Olk...

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
True. And another thing about ALF - who's gonna replace him? Another Tyler Walker? We've lost a fantastic impact sub - one of the best in this league - and I have no faith that we'll end up with anything better than Keshi Anderson. We're bollocked if Magennis stops scoring. You'd hope we've someone...
