Re: Administration and recovery
What I meant was, FV want the hotel otherwise they aren't so keen on the club anymore. That's how I've interpreted what I've read. Whether it's true or not... Either way, I'm going to sit down tonight and work out who's on which panic station.

Re: Administration and recovery
The way I've read things (and I could be misremembering here) isn't it a case of FV also wanting the hotel but there's more (or different) competition on that side and the tug of war is ongoing? If that's the case, it would mean that FV does have the money to satisfy club admin and EFL, just they're...

Re: Administration and recovery
My only assumption is those that haven't left haven't had a solid offer yet and so may as well keep training with us for fitness.

Re: Administration and recovery
So what happens when we are no further one come 1st August? Do we chuck the kids in? Pull out of the league? This clearly ain’t going anywhere soon. I managed to remain optimistic until some time last week. This is now my main feeling on the whole thing. Have a hunch we're going to be in exactly th...

Re: Will the sun ever rise on the Brittas Empire?
Yeah I'm really nervous about this now. Got this bad feeling having to deal with the club and hotel separately is going to scupper us.

Re: Administration and recovery
Seems we (or FV) have to choose between two evils here: 1. New management team and all the time, upheaval and bedding in that would require - then forcing them to start of on the back foot in every way imaginable. 2. Keep Parky and gain some of the groundwork that comes with him (albeit cracked and ...

Re: Administration and recovery
Also, I think it's important to note, that pic of Bassini that BEN uses looks like he's trying to stifle a fart.

Re: The next manager
Quite aside from his third-tier PPG, keeping Parky makes sense in a few ways. He would be likely to persuade at least half a dozen of the uncontracted players to re-sign immediately , I assume that was posted in jest? Parkinson's players were a large part of what went wrong from a playing prospecti...

Re: The next manager
I think PR plays a big role in football. If the fans don't back you, you start every game a few paces back. We need a change of atmosphere and perception as much as - if not more than - a change of approach. That's why Parky can't stay for me.

Re: The next manager
One thing that's struck me is that for a while now we've played very defensive football without any real attacking flair regardless of our manager or playing staff. That probably happens because players come and go one by one, rather than all at once, and new managers can't just chuck a new style at...

Re: The next manager
Would bring a feel good feeling, but also a massive risk. I think back to when Phillips took over and it was awful. Although they were hardly perfect conditions. That said, I've said I'd be happy with Nolan and he's not much different in terms of calibre and experience. Think the difference for me i...

Sorry can't work out how to embed tweets but LOV posted this based on a gated Times article: https://twitter.com/LionOfViennaSte/sta ... 15075?s=19
Still just a report at this point of course. Could just be a journo having a punt.

Reports of David Lee being given the job by Football Ventures. Did wonder if his Wanderer podcast appearance was strategic. Thoughts?

Re: Administration and recovery
There wasn't any optimism or pessimism from me! The smiley wink was Nixon's. Anyway, anything that suggests a) we might still have a club, and b) Bassini won't be anywhere near it, is surely cause for some optimism even if it's only in relation to those two aspects. Nobody is planning an open bus to...

Re: Administration and recovery
From Nixon: Bolton. There’s a winner. And they already have League approval. Should be official very shortly. No one saying who it is. Football Ventures have been around a while. And met the League previously

Re: Administration and recovery
Someone on Twitter noted that Bassini said he'd inject £1m straight away to help tide things over in his initial media parade a couple of months ago - as this mystery victor is reported to have done. I can't recall enough to be sure, but it's enough to keep me on the edge of my seat! Admins seem ver...

Re: Administration and recovery
What Nicholaldo said. They've communicated just about everything they're legally allowed to and made good headway within weeks. Honestly Leopard matey, just because Ken's gone now, doesn't mean that the admins need to become new enemy straight away. There'll be plenty of candidates in the months and...

Re: Administration and recovery
Any chance we can give these administrators a place on the board? Obviously the final hurdle is coming out the other side with a decent buyer. But, so far, everything has been so quick and professionally communicated it doesn't feel like I'm reading about BWFC.
