Also worrying that we've shelled out about 20k + per week and over £3m on #10's who are all completely ineffective

Re: The cup that cheers.. E.F.L Away to Wrexham Tues Feb 11th 7-30.

Adeboyejo is having a game that I'm actually struggling to describe. We look so messy as soon as we get into their half. Quality is non-existent. Aye he looks like a competition winner. The worrying thing for me is that we’ve not looked better since bringing on Collins and McAtee. Aye, heavy, slow,...

Sheehan missing two opportunities to stick a foot in there.
He's on his last chance before his second yellow. A LOT of substandard performances today. We've looked neat and tidy playing out from the back but I can't really say anybody has played well

Re: The cup that cheers.. E.F.L Away to Wrexham Tues Feb 11th 7-30.

This game is more important than the competition it happens to be in. Most people live their lives based on the narrative they build in their heads. Players are no different. If we win, or at least pay well, then it's part of a positive story in which we've won 4 of our last 5 and shown resilience....

I would absolutely trade this one in for a win at Shrewsbury on Saturday

Re: The ianevattable sacking

strangely enough, Barrows training ground is closer to Evatts house than Boltons is Aye didn't they move it to Manchester to attract more players than would commute up "Britain's longest cul-de-sac"? Sensible in a way, but hardly town pride... Wow I did not know that. So future model. Billionaire w...

Is there some sort of Carlisle/Barrow rivalry?
There is. But strangely enough, Barrows training ground is closer to Evatts house than Boltons is

Re: Creeping Northwards. At home to Crawley Town, Sat 8th FEB 3-0'clock.

Aye, for the 2nd goal, Toal looks out of position, has to sprint too far to recover and can't change direction quickly enough as he's on his heels. 3rd Goal, his body shape and position is wrong. Leaves the striker with only 1 real option which is the one you don't want him to take. He finished well...

Re: Creeping Northwards. At home to Crawley Town, Sat 8th FEB 3-0'clock.

Well that was fun! I liked the inverted wingers playing high, though it did leave us a little exposed. Concerning how poorly Toal played. He looked slow, flat-footed, indecisive and probably cost us a couple of goals - He has credit with us though, so fair enough. Hopefully just one of those days. J...

Re: The ianevattable sacking

I don't think Evatt would have been a serious candidate. He may have been sounded out, but not sure his ego could take him to the bottom of the football league when he thinks he's a Premier League manager

Re: Not a Leap Year, who says so? Away to Reading , Sat, Feb 1st 3-0'clock.

I think a lot of our issues came from a couple of the lads giving the ball away too often. It doesn't matter who you have in there. If you give them the ball needlessly, you'll get turned around and run over. Thomo again for all his endeavour, bravery and application etc, is currently struggling wit...

Wrexham signed two strikers yesterday, one of whom - Sam Smith from Reading - is said to have cost a couple of million. ...and the other is Jay Rodriguez, resumably not playing for buttons. Bob has a point, though. It's been a time of great change in the realm. Interesting to watch it and see what ...

Re: Who's the Rioch to Evatt's Neal?

If we just wanted Rico to defend without all the patterns and delays, he’d be right up there as one of, if not THE best defender in the division.

His main limitations stem from confidence after he’s turned the ball over

Would 'we' be happy to see Josh leave? How would the balance of the team be affected do you think?
I’d be gutted. But needs must if the money is right for the club.

We’d be a worse team without him in it.

Re: In, Out, Shake It All About: January 2025 Transfer Window

genuine question Ghost.. Looking at where Cardiff are in the table and how much they've struggled recently (I know they've had an upturn) - If we were to play them 46 times, who do you think would come out on top? Them, as things stand. By the end of the season I hope we'll be in a position for us ...

Signed a two year contract extension with Cardiff, so looks like this is just a short term thing. Yeah, that's a funny one. Hard to know whether it's asset protection or because the coaching staff rate him. He's undoubtedly talented. genuine question Ghost.. Looking at where Cardiff are in the tabl...

Odd one this. Schuey has just been quoted by Iles as saying that he's not yet fit enough to play, but they hope to have him involved in the next 3 months. My immediate response to that is....... WTAF??!! Maybe that's the manager setting his stall out early that he is not his pick. Which we all know...

Re: Who's the Rioch to Evatt's Neal?

Pleased to finally get it done. Proper legend Jules for keeping the wheels turning but this appointment just feels right.

I think there’ll be a few faces that won’t fit what he wants and that’s fine. We need to back him as fans
